- After opening the show Tim welcomes Ed Decker from Saint's Alive Ministry as today's guest. He is a former Mormon that has been speaking and teaching the truth about Mormonism for over 30 years. Ed has written numerous books and pamphlets on Mormonism and Free Masonry, such as: "God Makers"; "Decker's Complete Handbook on Mormonism"; "My Kingdom Come: The Mormon Quest For Godhood"; "The Dark Side of Freemasonry"; "The Question of Freemasonry"; "To Moroni with Love" and many others.
Tim starts by mentioning the recent news about a pastor that said Mormonism is a cult. Ed explains that by definition it is a cult, but the word cult takes on different meanings, like with a "cult following" of a band. He then points out that Mormonism cannot be Christian because they believe in many gods who have created many "earths" throughout the heavens and universes.
Ed was a Mormon for 20 years until age 39, and believed that he would become a god himself, and people his own planet. He says that "Mitt Romney believes that God is an exalted man... who lives on a planet on a great star Kolob with his many goddess wives as his harem creating spirit babies that they send to the earth to gain bodies so that they can become gods"
Tim brings up Joel Osteen saying that Mormons are Christians. Ed says that this is not correct, and that Mormonism is not Christianity. They are believing in a different Jesus, who was created by a physical man-god and his daughter Mary to create the physical body of Jesus Christ. He then says that this Jesus of Mormonism is a separate god and the brother of lucifer, and that for this Jesus, "he became a god by an election at a council of gods", and then mentions "Joseph Smith, whom god gave the keys to the last dispensation of earth."
Tim then asks Ed if a real born again Christian should vote for Mitt Romney: Ed answers "Absolutely Not, unequivocally, without even blinking". He says it is never going to be a choice between Romney and Obama, but suggests there are many people that a person could vote for or write-in instead of Romney or Obama, for example Herman Cain or your aunt. He says that "I will not vote for a man that believes that this country is destined to become a Mormon theocratic government" that is similar to the Islamic Caliphates. He says there is a belief that "the Constitution is going to fail, the Mormons are going to step in and its going to become a theocratic socialistic kingdom of god in the United States." He says that they believe that Jesus will not return until this takes place.
Ed says that Mormons like Romney, Glenn Beck, and other Temple Mormons swear blood oaths of consecration and obedience to the implementation of the kingdom of god. Ed says Romney swore blind blood obedience to the "prophet" above all else in life. The Mormons convert about 250,000 people per year, with about 120,000 quitting the first year.
Tim starts the discussion on Free Masonry and asks if there are problems with the burn centers, hospitals, the Shrine Circus and other things run by the Masons. One problem, Ed says, is with the blood oaths taken by Masons, in contrast to the Bible which says to avoid oaths ("swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation", James 5:12, KJV). Ed says that talking to family members and loved ones about "going to the Lodge" is difficult. Ed's father was a Mason and kicked him out of the house when he started talking about Free Masonry, although his dad later confessed that it was a sin and rejected Free Masonry.
Tim and Ed then talk about one of the sacred names in Masonry "abaddon" which is mentioned in Revelations 9:11 as the Hebrew name of the king over the demons in the pit of hell. Tim asks if many Shriners know about Baphomet, and Ed replies no, most of them view the Masons as a drinking club. He says they do some good with the money, but says only about 20% of the money raised goes to hospitals etc., with the rest going to parties, temples, parades, and misc. Ed Decker's ministry website is at www.SaintsAlive.com, which has a large collection of materials on Mormons, Free Masons, and other topics. (Ed: MB)
