Listen
  • Date: Sat, 5/12/12
  • Guests: Lindsey Williams
  • Topics: Lindsey Williams talks about preparing for economic hard times.

    • Tim opens the show with a few comments about handing out Christian tracts. He says in the last 6 years he has only heard back from 5 people. He then cites the passage that says his word will not return void, and says he will not really know what God has done with the tracts until he gets home to glory.

Rich Buhler was a good friend of Tim's, and was the host of the "Talk from the Heart" show, and was also the program director responsible for putting together the "Morning with Tim and Al" radio show. Rich is now home with Jesus, and Tim offers a few comments.

Lindsey Williams is today's guest. Lindsay says he was a pastor in Hollywood Florida for twelve years. He says he has met a number of famous and powerful people over the years that control the world. He then talks about the latest news of JP Morgan losing 2 billion a few days ago, and that people are now talking about QE-3 (Quantitative Easing). Tim asks Lindsey what he would invest in. Lindsey responds by saying that if it is written on paper, then it is worth the paper it is written on. He then says that the currency of choice is gold and silver, and that the currency of the elite is gold and silver. He says that people should secure their assets in these metals.

Tim asks Lindsey why he recommends buying gold coins minted in 1933 or before. Lindsey responds that a law protects US gold coins minted on or before 1933 from confiscation, and recommends only buying US gold coins. Lindsey says on Thursday of last week he finished his DVD series "Secrets of the Elite", and has been asked to do a new presentation about the devastating effects of QE-3. He says there are signs to look for in a currency collapse. He says that a crack in the derivatives markets will lead to currency wars which will lead to trade wars, and the trade wars will lead to interest rate increases. He suggests getting out of paper based assets prior to the Federal Reserve announcing rate increases.

Tim asks Lindsey why the Rich are not worried about being taxed. Lindsay says they are not worried about it because they don't own the things like the homes they live in, the jets they fly on, etc. and then help Congress write the laws. He then goes on to say that we are on the verge of financial disaster, and that the elite are now very concerned about the future. Lindsey Williams' DVDs and other material can be obtained at www.prophecyclub.com. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 5/5/12
  • Guests: Dr. Mark Shaw
  • Topics: Dr. Mark Shaw, author of "Hope and Help for Gambling" discusses gambling problems.

    • Tim returns to the show after being in Brownwood Texas last week visiting his sister's family. His sister teaches at a Southern Baptist school in Brownwood. Tim then reads Psalm 91, and then reads some material from a book entitled "Psalm 91" about World War 2, where some of the men were shouting out Psalm 91 during the battle.

Today's guest is Mark Shaw. Mark is the founder of Truth in Love Ministries, and has a website at www.HisTruthInLove.org. He holds a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Counseling, and has written a book on gambling for Christians titled "Hope and Help for Gambling". Tim begins by asking Mark about the crime rate around cities like Atlantic City and Vegas that have casinos. Mark responds that "casinos are not our friends" and that the crime rate is 84% higher around casinos. Tim then asks Mark if gambling is a sin. Mark responds that it is at the very least a stewardship issue, and we are to manage what the Lord gives us wisely. Americans spend almost $500 billion per year on gambling.

Tim has been in Las Vegas for 6 years now, and asks about Christians that pray to win the lottery or other form of gambling, promising to give back to the Lord. Mark points out that everything already belongs to the Lord, and points out the Bible passage that "the heart is deceitful above all things". Tim and Mark then discuss the role of covetousness in gambling. Tim then asks about people that do not tithe. Mark responds that tithing is the first part that belongs to the Lord, and when they don't tithe it is a sign that they don't believe that everything belongs to the Lord, and that they believe it is their money.

Tim asks what the steps to being delivered from gambling: Mark responds you start by finding a good Christian friend. They then need to talk about why the person is gambling. As a Christian you should want to glorify God, and if you are not acting as a good Christian, then a good Christian friend should be able to tell you. Hopefully the person should have several Christian friends to help them. He says staying away from the meals and buffets might be a wise move for those with gambling problems. Mark says it takes a lot of time to gamble, and that time could be spent helping others and living the Word. Tim asks if keeping a time log of activities might help people to track the time and money spent on gambling. Mark responds that keeping a journal can be very helpful in dealing with gambling issues. Mark closes the show by lifting up in prayer those who have been caught up in gambling. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 4/28/12
  • Guests: Pastor Bill Walker (guest host)
  • Topics: Pastor Bill talks about what it means to have a Colossians 3:17 day.

    • Tim is away this week dealing with family matters, but should be back hosting the show next week. Pastor Bill Walker is the guest host this week. Pastor Bill is the senior pastor of the Four Seasons Church, located in Las Vegas NV. The Four Seasons Church is a non-denominational Church that was founded by Pastor Bill in 2004. The Four Seasons is Tim's home Church in Las Vegas, and Tim and Bill have been friends for many years. Today Pastor Bill talks about having a "Colossians 3:17 day":

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. (Col. 3:17, KJV)

What does it mean to do something in the name of Jesus? Bill then talks about WWJD bracelets "what would Jesus do". He says once you commit your life to Christ, then it should be evident to others that you are a Christian, and that we are a witness wherever we go and whatever we do.

What does driving in Jesus name look like: He says the steering wheel is an excellent place to exercise Christian behavior. For example, we shouldn't break the law, or run red lights. Bill then talks about the billboards in Vegas that can be sexual in nature. He says we should not be looking at the signs. He also says we should apply this same caution to the kind of music we listen to while driving. He says we may not know what Jesus would do in every situation, but we usually know what Jesus would not do. Pastor Bill says Jesus spent most of his adult life working as a carpenter, and that he glorified God while working in his job. Bill says doing anything personal on company time is stealing, and that people notice your attitude at work. He also points out that God may provide opportunities to share the gospel at work during lunch or coffee breaks. Bill's Church website is located at The Four Seasons Church. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 4/21/12
  • Guests: Will Hoffman
  • Topics: Will Hoffman from www.truthformormons.org talks about Mormonism and witnessing to Mormons.

    • Tim opens the show with a few comments about the tract "Are Roman Catholics Christian?", and says that he handed it out last night and did not receive criticism. He also handed out a tract entitled "The Visitors" that deals with Mormonism. He then discusses the passage Galatians 1:6-9, and the section 1 Corinthians 15:2-3 defining the gospel, and says it is important to know the Jesus of the Bible. Tim points out that most Christian bookstores will not deal with Chick tracts (which cover a wide variety of topics), although they can be accessed through their website at www.Chick.com.

Will Hoffmann is today's guest. Will says he was never really in Mormonism, and grew up in a Presbyterian/Lutheran household. He says he later tried to find God, and invited some Mormon missionaries into his home. They gave him a Book of Mormon and started reading it with him. Tim asks if he prayed for a "burning in the bosom". Will says he believes that they are no longer using that term, but that they do ask people to pray about it while reading the Mormon literature. Will says he started reading about Joseph Smith and how Mormonism started. In college he felt drawn to go into the ministry, and felt called to study the Mormon faith, but then later joined a Baptist Church after he became born again. He talks about Joseph Smith holding the keys to heaven, and mentions that the modern LDS no longer talk about some of the more controversial aspects of their faith in public, although they still believe many of these things. Tim talks about the early Mormon literature from "Doctrines of Salvation" by Joseph Fielding Smith that talks about spirit children being born with white or dark skin (listed in Bruce McConkie's book on "Mormon Doctrine"). Will says that in the book of Mormon it says that the cursed were born with dark skin, and that if they studied the Mormon faith their skin would lighten.

Tim and Will then discuss what Romney might think about the Book of Mormon, given that there have been 3200 changes so far. Will then discusses the polygamy issue in Mormonism, and the numerous wives that Joseph Smith had. Tim asks about the connection between Mormonism and Masonry. Will responds by saying the Joseph Smith rose quickly in Masonry to the highest level, and then talks about some of the symbols that are in common in Mormonism and Masonry. He also says many things inside the Mormon church are "too sacred" to talk about, with much of it being censored. Will can be reached at his website at www.truthformormons.org (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 4/14/12
  • Guests: Andy Irwin, Jon Irwin
  • Topics: Brothers Andy and Jon Irwin are co-directors of the new movie "October Baby". The subject of the movie is about a survivor of abortion.

    • Tim, Tommy and Donny will be handing out tracts before the Mike Tyson show today. Mike has told Tim in the past on the Phil Donahue show that he was a born again Christian. Tim said he then heard that Mike converted to Islam while in jail, since he heard that Muhammad was a black man. Tim will be handing out tracts about the Hadith, called "Unforgiven", that say that Muhammad had four black slaves. He will also be handing out tracts at the Arab American Festival in Dearborn Michigan in a couple of months, and at the Muslim festival in Detroit.

Tim spoke last week about the new movie "October Baby", which is about a woman that survived an abortion when she was a baby. Tim's guests today are Andy and Jon Irwin, who are brothers and co-directors of this movie. Tim asks Andy what gave him the idea for the. He responds that he and his brother have a background in television, music videos, and documentaries, and that they grew up in the media. They heard the story of an abortion survivor, and were captivated. After filming the movie, they showed it to the woman that was the original subject of the story to make sure they got it right, and have become friends with her.

John Schneider from Dukes of Hazard also shows up in this film. Tim comments that the technical quality of the film is very high, but says that a lot of the reviews for the movie have been negative. Andy says the first review by the NYT was pretty inflammatory, but the one last week was very positive. Andy says that he appreciates the movie critics that critique the craft itself rather than the message. Tim mentions that the movie "October Baby" opened at number 8, and on April 13 was playing on around 400 screens, and has returned about $4 million. In the Las Vegas area, the movie is playing at the Suncoast theater and at Bolder Station.

The next guest is Mike Cahill "Pilot Mike", a pilot for US Air. Tim and Mike have traveled widely on mission trips, and have been to Israel, Juarez, Tijuana, Mexicali, the Arab American festival in Dearborn, and many other places. Mike has seen the October Baby movie, and mentions that he was adopted. Mike and Tim then talk about the movie "Monumental" with Kirk Cameron (which is also playing at the Suncoast), which is about faith issues in the founding of our country. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 4/07/12
  • Guests: Pastor Roy Miller, Russell Mindas
  • Topics: Pastor Roy from Black Mountain Community Church in Henderson NV talks about the needs in moving his Church, and Russell talks about how he met the Lord in jail ministry.

    • Tim opens the show with a few comments and a strong recommendation for the new movie "October Baby", describing it as the best movie he has ever seen, and the movie is making a profit (important for Christian movies). The movie is a story about a woman that was adopted as a child after a failed abortion attempt. In the Las Vegas area it is only playing at Bolder Station and at the Suncoast. He then mentions the movie "180" put out by Ray Comfort which is also about abortion, and has a site at www.180movie.com. You can get stickers for the 180 movie at www.LivingWaters.com.

Russell Mindas goes to Trinity Church, and is one of today's guest. He has known Tim for about a year or two. Russell was raised in the Catholic Church, and has now moved to Trinity. Russell says he got into drugs like cocaine and methamphetamine, and spent some time in jail for dealing drugs, after spending time in jail before in Indiana. While in jail, Russell met a friend of Tim's, Kleg Seth, who is active in jail ministry. Russell says jail is a perfect place for people to learn about God, with lots of free time, and says he probably would be dead without the jail ministry. These days he runs a small IT integration company that does computer repair and installation, and that he now knows Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

Roy Miller is the next guest. Roy got involved in ministry after moving to Las Vegas NV from Albuquerque, NM. Roy came to know the Lord at a Four Square Church in Las Vegas, and was later called into ministry. He is now the senior pastor at Black Mountain Community Church in Henderson NV. Roy says his Church started building fund for a building, and then the recession hit. The builder went bankrupt, and they lost $1.5 million. He is now looking for a new place for fellowship, and has to move out of his current Church building by July. Tim asks Roy to comment on resurrection day, and Roy says that without the resurrection, our faith means nothing. Tim then offers a few comments about Christianity and Catholicism, and the role of Mary in the Catholic Church. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 3/31/12
  • Guests: Chuck Missler
  • Topics: Chuck Missler from Koinonia House talks about a variety of issues, like his work in heading khouse.org, the rapture, Israel and replacement theology, patriotism, and President Obama.

    • Tim is back from his trip with Pilot Mike to Mexicali Mexico, where they handed out Christian tracts. He had multiple warnings to avoid Mexicali, but went anyway. He and Mike successfully handed out 3000 tracts while there.

Chuck Missler is today's guest. He has been a guest in the past on the previous "Tim and Al" radio show. Chuck is the founder and head of Koinonia House, a Christian ministry that Chuck describes as working on "Biblical Illiteracy". Chuck says that in the earlier part of his life he was an executive in public boardrooms, and was the Chairman and CEO of six different companies in the past where he says he was a "techie". He says in his technical career he also taught Bible studies as a layman. He has a PhD in the information sciences. He is now an author/speaker with Koinonia House, which now also operates the Koinonia Institute offering courses over the internet. He has spent the last 40-50 years promoting the Bible from a non-denominational perspective.

Tim talks about some of the previous prophecies about the second coming of the Lord which have been wrong, and asks Chuck to comment. Chuck says that the scripture is clear that we are not to set dates, but goes on to say that it is clear that there is no major event between now and the rapture. He says our task as Christians is to make disciples and try to repair the biblical illiteracy that we find everywhere, including from the pulpit.

Tim mentions that the Bible says we are to honor the king, and asks how critical should Christians be of President Obama. Chuck responds that it is clear that Mr. Obama is a Sunni Muslim, and that we now live in a Democratic Republic (not a Democracy) where we pick our leaders, and that we are responsible for who we put in office who are our employees. He says we Christians have dual citizenship, where we are citizens in our own country the USA, as well as being citizens of our coming kingdom with Jesus. In the past there was no problem in choosing between God and country. He says after his Air Force career he then went into the defense industry, so he is not an "America basher." He says in the last few years his views have changed, and that what he used to regard as patriotism he now views as a form of idol worship. Chuck then talks about the oath taken by military to defend the Constitution, and that the oath does not cover defending or serving on United Nations.

Tim brings up an article from the "Mcalvany Intelligence Advisor" that talks about some of the Indonesians that love Obama and believe he is a Muslim (a widespread belief in the Mideast), and asks Chuck about his views. Chuck responds that it is even more sinister, and talks about the media bias which has gone beyond bias, and has conspired to hide the truth from the people. He says that nobody remembers Obama in college, nobody has seen his grades, etc., and says that the silence is astounding given that the public knows nothing of his background and yet he became the most powerful man on earth.

Tim then asks whether he thinks that the Bible prophecies that Israel might attack Iran. Chuck responds no, but says he is thinking that Mr. Obama might attack Iran, and again mentions again that Obama is a Sunni Muslim. He says Iran is not Arab, but rather is Persian. He then talks about the tension between Shiite Muslims and Sunni Muslims, and that the people that are worried are the Saudis. They close out the show with a few comments about antisemitism and the associated four unconditional covenants for Israel. Chuck says that one of the heresies associated with antisemitism is that the Church has replaced Israel (replacement theology). As a final comment, Chuck then talks about aliens from other planets and UFO's, and says that they are inter-dimensional and not inter-galactic beings, related to the angelic realm. Tim then mentions that this is inline with the Bible that says Eve was the mother of all living (Genesis 3:20). Chuck's organization Koinonia House has a website at www.khouse.org , and the Koinonia Institute has a website at www.studycenter.com where you can find more information. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 3/24/12
  • Guests: Janet Parker, Mark Taylor
  • Topics: Janet and Mark talk about the high school shooting at Columbine in Denver in 1999. Mark was one of the students shot during this mass murder, and Janet is helping Mark with some human rights issues.

    • Tim opens the show with a few comments about the disclaimer before his program, and asks whether there would be a disclaimer before Jesus or John the Baptist spoke if they had a show... and says "absolutely", and that he is proud to have a disclaimer. He then goes on to ask for your prayers for a dangerous trip he is taking this week with Pilot Mike Cahill to Mexicali (on the Baja peninsula) to hand out Christian tracts. He hopes to pass out the Chick tracts entitled "Are Roman Catholics Christian's?", "Last Rites", "Papa", "Is There Another Christ?", "Why is Mary Crying?", and "The Trial." He then offers a few comments about prayers to Mary, and mentions the Biblical passage about there being one mediator between God and man, and that is Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5). He also recommends that Catholics and others visit the website www.pro-gospel.org to learn more. The site is run by two former Catholics, Mike Gendron and Jason Hauser. Tim then offers a few comments on the Catholic doctrine called "The Sin of Presumption" when a Catholic says they are saved, and contrasts this with the Biblical passage 1 John 5:13 which says "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

Dr. Janet Parker is today's guest. Dr. Parker is a veterinarian that founded the "Medical Whistleblower" which is "dedicated to advocacy and the emotional support of all Medical Whistleblowers" that come forward to report Medical Fraud, Abuse or Neglect to State, Federal or International governmental authorities. She has a website at medicalwhistleblowernetwork.jigsy.com

Today Janet is talking about the Columbine high school shooting in Colorado in 1999, and the trauma of witnessing a murder. She also offers a few comments about one of the killers "Eric Harris" that was on the antidepressant "Luvox" at the time of the Columbine shooting, which she says can make people have racing thoughts and violent and suicidal tendencies (Eric killed himself after shooting his classmates). She says there have been other mass shootings associated with people taking Luvox.

She has been helping one of the victims of the shooting, Mark Taylor, who is still battling to get his rights back. Mark is a devout Christian, and was the first person shot at Columbine (shot by Eric Harris). She says that the healing from a trauma like this is a lengthy process, and in some cases can be a lifelong process. Mark was led by the pharmaceutical companies to participate in an intervention and given drugs without his consent, and denied his rights, such as his right to drive, his right to vote, and to make informed choices on his medical care, and other rights. There is more detail about the case on Janet's website (listed above). She is currently looking for an attorney to deal with the human rights issues for Mark.

Mark Taylor is the next guest. Mark was at Columbine and was shot in the leg and chest by Harris. Mark says he did not know the killers, and had just started school at Columbine a week before the shooting. Eric's psychiatrist said that he was doing fine when he was off the antidepressant drugs, but became suicidal again after going back on the drug Luvox. He tried to sue, but said that a successful suit would need one of the scientists at the pharmaceutical company to testify against the company. Mark has a book that he has written called "I asked, God answered, a Columbine miracle" published by Tate Publishing. Mark says he still wants to be a minister, but is currently living in a group home. If you would like help, then you can call 719-963-4410, or contact Janet through her website. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 3/17/12
  • Guests: Pastor Mark Martin
  • Topics: Pastor Martin is a former Seventh Day Adventist pastor that left the Adventists. He now has a ministry reaching out to Adventists called Ex-Adventist Outreach.

    • Tim opens the show saying he has been handing out tracts for 5.5 years, and has now handed out around half a million tracts on the Las Vegas strip. He then mentions that Charles Spurgeon once said that if you have no desire to see others saved, then you're not saved. He also mentions that his plans to go to Mexico have been delayed, but hopes to go soon.

Mark Martin from Calvary Community Church in Phoenix Arizona is today's guest. Mark is a former Seventh Day Adventist pastor that left Adventism. He was a guest last year after the seminar given by the Adventists, and returns this year to talk about it. He comes from a family of Adventists, but says he never had the assurance of salvation. He says that some of the Adventist teachings from his youth led him to not have peace in his heart about the Adventist doctrine vs salvation by grace through faith alone in Christ. In college he continued his study of grace, and read some works by Walter Rae that showed that Ellen White's writings were plagiarized. He investigated the plagiarism issues, and found that they were true, and came to believe that Ellen White was a false prophet. He comments that Adventists believe that Ellen White's writings are inspired like the Bible.

He says he was forced to make a decision between teaching the Gospel of grace vs. teaching the Adventist doctrine, and had to choose between the Bible and the writings of Ellen White, so he chose to follow the Bible. He left the Church because of doctrine that is not Biblical, and not because of personal issues. He says his new Church has been blessed since its beginnings in 1982, and now has 12,000-13,000 people. Mark has a website www.exadventist.org that both helps people learn about Adventism and helps those in the Seventh Day Adventist organization to leave Adventism.

Tim brings up Ellen White's false prophecies, and mentions a White prophecy that the Jews would never have Palestine as their home (from The Early Writings of Ellen White, page 75). Mark says that Ellen White has at least a dozen false prophecies in addition to the one that said that old Jerusalem would never be rebuilt. He then goes on to list other false prophecies that were made by White.

Tim then asks Mark about the doctrine of hell that is taught by Adventists. Mark responds that God is both Righteous and Just, and that justice demands punishment. Mark says Jesus talks more about hell than anybody in scripture, and that He gave His life to save us from hell. Tim then asks Mark about the eternal suffering aspects of hell. Mark responds that when we understand the enormity of sin, then we understand hell. Tim asks about Rev. 19:20 about the beast being thrown into the lake of fire and Rev. 20:10 that refers to where the beast and the false prophet are (not were). He says the Adventists believe in hell, but not in an eternal hell, and that the suffering will cease. Tim then brings up Matt 25:46 with respect to this issue of eternal torment. Mark says a word study on the word eternal is the same word used in Rev. 19:20 and Rev. 20:10 for eternal, so the same word is used for eternal life and eternal torment. Mark then comments that Adventists tend to do topical studies, with very little study of the context of the verses that are used in study.

Tim asks about the story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16. Mark responds that the Adventists view this is a parable, and that it "cannot stand on all four legs". Mark then says that it is not a parable but a parallel, and that in the parables from Jesus He never mentioned names. If Jesus knew there wasn't an eternal hell, then why would he even give a story like the rich man and Lazarus? The story of Lazarus clearly refutes the Adventist doctrine of soul sleep, and underscores the point that there is a hell where there is suffering. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 3/10/12
  • Guests: Tom Zavatsky, Paul Potoczny
  • Topics: Tom Zavatsky and Paul Potoczny of Las Vegas Outreach talk about street ministry in Las Vegas.

    • Pilot Mike and Tim will be heading to Mexico this week to pass out some Gospel tracts, and asks for your prayers. Next Saturday the program will be about Seventh Day Adventists, and Tim will have Mark Martin as the guest. Mark is a former Seventh Day Adventist pastor, and will talk about Adventism, Ellen White's "prophecies", and Adventist views on topics like hell. Tim says he gave his heart to the Lord at age 5, and says it was the fear of hell that brought him to the Lord.

Today's guests will be Tom Zavatsky and Paul Potoczny, who will be talking to Tim about handing out Gospel tracts. Tim mentions that he has been handing out Christian tracts since he was a teenager, when his dad encouraged him to do it. Tim asks Tom what motivated him to hand out tracts. Tim asks what was it that led them to hand out tracts to strangers? The response from Tom is that God changed his life after somebody was bold enough to witness to him. Tom mentions a story where he witnessed to a couple of girls who were killed later that evening. Paul was saved about 4 years ago. Paul says after God saved him he wanted to tell people about God and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Paul says he didn't know in the beginning how to witness the gospel to strangers on the street.

Tim asks what they say to people that turn down a tract, and respond by saying that they are already saved. Tom responds that you need to tell them that they need to tell people. Tim comments that David Livingston, a famous missionary, used to say that you are either a missionary or a mission field. Paul said he was unsure about how to approach people at first, and then started following guidelines from "The Way of the Master". He says they frequently goes down to Fremont Street near downtown Las Vegas, and then have a series of questions they ask when witnessing to people on the street. Tim comments that the tracts that are handed out in Las Vegas are then returned to homes all over the world.

Tim asks if they ever get discouraged when passing out tracts. Tom responds that he does get a bit discouraged with "false converts". Tim asks Paul why they like Fremont Street. Paul responds that it is a less rushed atmosphere compared to the strip near the Bellagio, and people are more likely to stop and talk.

Tim's next guest is David Spurgeon, an evangelist out of Dayton Ohio. He came to the Lord while in jail in 1990, and the Lord changed his life. He has been an evangelist now for 15 years. He will be giving a message at Bible Baptist Church in Las Vegas. He will start on Sunday March 18, with a revival on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 3/3/12
  • Guests: Debbie Young, Tina
  • Topics: Debbie Young and Tina talk about the Walter Hoving Home for women in Las Vegas.

    • Tim opens the show talking about the kinds of people that God uses to spread his message, and that he can use you the way you are to spread His Word. He says that Jesus didn't pick 12 PhD's for Apostles, he picked regular people.

Debbie Young from the Walter Hoving Home for women is today's guest. Debbie is a vice president and director at Walter Hoving, and has been working with the home for 6 years. She says she has a felony record, and is now able to use this to go into the jails and witness to women. She was raised in Catholic, Baptist, and secular schools, moving frequently, which made it hard to develop lasting relationships. Her father "ran with a bike group", and she talks about sleeping with guns under the pillows. Debbie says she read a book called "Debbie" while she was in jail, and read the Gideon Bible. She contacted the Walter Hoving Home to apply and was accepted for a 15 month program in Pasadena California. After completing the program she moved to Nevada in 2006.

Tina is another guest today from the Hoving Home in Las Vegas. Two and a half years ago she walked into the Hoving home and found Jesus. She started drinking and doing cocaine when she was young, and used drugs and alcohol to numb the broken feelings and lack of hope. She said she just wanted to disappear and die, and left her children and spent 10 years in Las Vegas as a prostitute. She says some horrific things happened while she was out there, but that she didn't care. She cried out to God after one violent event, but then went right back to the "track" (the street where prostitutes hang out) where she was busted and sent to jail. While in jail she was accepted into the Walter Hoving Home, and was then released from jail two days later. She was led to Jesus at the Walter Hoving Home after using drugs since the age of 14 (she is 49 now).

Tim asks what they would have said to Whitney Houston about struggling with drugs. They respond that the person needs to want to live. God has to change your heart. Tim asks what it is that causes some women to leave these programs. The response is to succeed you need to turn your will over to God's will.

Tim asks Tina to speak to the women out there that want to get out of that lifestyle. Tina responds to get on the phone and ask for help, and then prays for the women on the streets of Las Vegas. The Walter Hoving organization has Homes in several cities, with the Las Vegas Home currently having 10 beds (which Debbie hopes to expand to 50). On Oct. 18, 2012, they will be having their second annual banquet, which will be held at the Orleans in Las Vegas. The website for further information on the Hoving Home is located at www.walterhovinghome.com (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 2/25/12
  • Guests: Dale Ratzlaf
  • Topics: Dale Ratzlaf is a former Seventh Day Adventist Pastor, and talks about some of the doctrinal issues with the organization.

    • Tim just finished attending a 30 day prophecy conference put on by the Seventh Day Adventist Church (founded by Ellen White). He says that they don't really make a point of telling you that it is an Adventist meeting, and that the name of the founder, Ellen White, was not even mentioned until the twentieth meeting (there were 22 meetings total).

Today's guest is Dale Ratzlaff, a former Seventh Day Adventist Pastor. There were some technical phone problems with today's show, so Tim turns the show over to his guest Dale to talk about the Adventists. Tim starts out by asking about the Sabbath, and whether Christians should go to Church on Sunday, or keep the Sabbath on Saturday. He also brings up a common Adventist teaching that a person is taking the Mark of the Beast by going to Church on Sunday. He then mentions the Bible passage "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city" (Rev 22:14 KJV), and asks about keeping the commandments.

At this point, Dale enters the show via remote call-in and begins discussing his ministry. Dale was a fourth generation Seventh Day Adventist, and pastored in the Adventist Church for 13 years and taught at the academy for 7 years. Dale was a firm believer in Ellen White's teaching and the whole Adventist message. He resigned from his teaching position after a disagreement in doctrine about teaching the "Investigative Judgment, 1844 Sanctuary Theology". He has several books on his site that deal with problems in Seventh Day Adventist doctrine: www.ratzlaf.com

Dale talks about the creation week, the "Seventh Day" position, and the history of the Sabbath observance. He cites an early Jewish writing saying that seventh day observance was unknown prior to the Torah. Dale then talks about Matt 5:17-20 on the Sermon on the Mount: "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill...", that is often used by Adventists, and then talks about word studies related to the words "Law" and "Fulfill".

The passage in Rev. 22:14 mentioned earlier is discussed, and Dale talks about how it relates to commandments. He says Paul makes it clear that we are not saved by obeying His commandments. He then talks about the Greek word for "commandments" used by John (John, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, Rev.) versus the different Greek word for the Ten Commandments used by John.

Dale discusses other passages like Mark 2:27 "And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:" and 1 John 2:4 "He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." and relates these passages to the issues of ritual and moral law, and says that keeping the Sabbath was a ritual law rather than a moral law. He mentions that the "Clear Word" translation of the Bible is one of the worst translations ever made. Dale has a ministry website with more information at www.LifeAssuranceMinistries.org. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 2/18/12
  • Guests: Pastor Rob Wright
  • Topics: Pastor Rob Wright from Abundant Grace Church in Las Vegas talks about Don Piper, who will be visiting Abundant Grace to talk about his book "90 Minutes in Heaven".

    • Pastor Rob Wright from Abundant Grace Church in Las Vegas is today's guest. Pastor Wright also has a radio show on KKVV radio in Las Vegas. Rob has been in ministry for over 40 years, and was the Protestant Chaplain at Attica State Prison in New York early in his ministry. For the last 20 years his focus has been on pastoring. Tim mentions that he asked a warden how he knows if a guy is a believer or just playing a game. Rob responds that the guys that are serious Christians carry their Bibles, and that other prisoners know the real thing. When a person is in prison you are being watched 24/7 by guards or cellmates. One of the toughest guys Rob knew was a real trouble maker, and is now himself a prison Chaplain.

Tim shifts the discussion to "phonies" that have had visions of heaven and hell, and brings up Don Piper who will be a guest at Pastor Wright's Church. Rob says that he believes that Don Piper is the real thing, and talks about some visions that are questionable. Don doesn't take money when he speaks, but takes any collection from his speaking engagements and gives it to other ministries.

Don Piper has been a minister for a long time, and is now in his sixties. He was coming home from a Baptist conference in his car when he got into a wreck with an 18 wheeler truck, and was declared dead at the scene. One of the ministers in a car behind him saw the accident, and began praying for him as they were waiting for the coroner. He prayed for 90 minutes and began singing "what a friend we have in Jesus", when Don began singing. Don went through years of suffering after the accident. He will be giving his testimony this Sunday at Pastor Rob's Church. He waited ten years before he told his story, since he was concerned about attacks from skeptics.

Tim brings up the passage "it is appointed unto man once to die, and after that judgment". Rob responds that he doesn't have an answer to that other than God is sovereign, and that Elijah and Enoch didn't die. Tim and Rob then discuss those who pray for medical problems and the pain does not go away. Rob talks a bit about his wife that was diagnosed with terminal cancer many years ago and survived, and says that he has prayed for others that have not had their medical problems were not healed. He says God is sovereign and that he doesn't know why some are healed and some not. Feb. 19 Don Piper will be at Abundant Grace at the 830 and 1030 services. The Abundant Grace website is located at www.Graceinlasvegas.com (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 2/11/12
  • Guests: Chet Gallagher
  • Topics: Chet Gallagher from Operation Save America is today's guest, talking about abortion and the proposed "Personhood Amendment".

    • Today's guest is Chet Gallagher from "Personhood USA" and "Operation Save America", and has known Tim since Jan 1989. Chet is a former police officer that worked for Las Vegas metro. He got saved in 1974, a year after baby murder was legalized in the USA (Roe V Wade). He was in the Air Force at the time working as a law enforcement officer, and then went into law enforcement as a motorcycle cop after that.

Operation Rescue is an organization of thousands of people that sit in front of abortion clinics to block access. Chet was a police officer in Las Vegas, and walked to the front of a protest line at a clinic, and asked the other police to not arrest those protesting. His supervisors were "not impressed", and suspended him immediately from the force. Chet said that he knew the supervisor did not believe that babies were being killed or that there was a "murder in progress". He said that he decided to pass on his retirement and go into pro-life ministry, and was then arrested for unlawful assembly along with 40 men and other pastors. He called it the "First Unlawful Assembly of God Church".

Tim asks what should a person say to evangelicals that say that they are not concerned about abortion since the murdered babies are all going to heaven? Chet responds that "God hates hands that shed innocent blood" (Prov. 24:10-12). He has served in this ministry for over two decades. Tim brings up the new "Personhood Amendment". Chet says this morning that 30 babies were murdered at one single abortion mill in Las Vegas where they were protesting. He says that abortion is a euphemism for what really is the brutal slaughter of babies in the womb. The personhood amendment says that every single person should have their life protected. He says the real issue is when life begins and should be protected. He compares it to the lack of "personhood" during slavery in the USA, and to Hitler not recognizing the personhood of Jews.

The US supreme court said in Roe v Wade that a person had the right to due process via the amendment 14th amendment, and that if personhood could be established then a person cannot lose their life without due process. So the personhood amendment would establish a person's inalienable rights to life, regardless of whether the person is born or pre-born.

While most Democrats believe in the right to kill children, Chet says that there are a number of Republicans that are also pro abortion. He sits on the national board of Personhood USA. He says that Rich Perry, Michelle Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, and Rich Santorum signed the initiative, and a "conditional signature" from Ron Paul, while Mitt Romney did NOT sign the personhood initiative.

There are 38 states that have fetal homicide laws, with 21 of those states saying that you cannot accidentally or deliberately cause the death of a prenatal child. Others have standards for fetal homicide like "quickening" (when a woman can feel the baby inside, which is of course hard to judge as a medical term).

The personhood amendment would establish protections to life at the beginning, regardless of the state of the development (zygote, embryo, fetus, newborn, toddler, teenager ...). He says the enemy (satan) will use the argument to say that we are trying to give rights to fertilized eggs, rather than recognizing rights of a human being with their own unique DNA. Chet believes that parents need to know which methods of birth control (chemicals, devices, etc.) kill their children.

For the state of Nevada, this Personhood Initiative is a citizen led petition, that needs 72,000 signatures before being put on the state ballot. If you would like to get involved in this important movement, you can call 702-272-2279 to contact the Nevada pro-life coalition to get copies of the petition, or visit the site www.personhoodnevada.com. The deadline is June 19, 2012 to get the needed 72000 signatures. If you would like to get involved in other states, then the website for the national Personhood Initiative is www.personhoodusa.com

Next week Pastor Rob Wright from Abundant Grace Church in Las Vegas will be the guest. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 2/4/12
  • Guests: Sandra Tanner
  • Topics: Sandra Tanner is an ex-Mormon, and now runs Utah Lighthouse Ministries, spreading the truth about Mormonism.

    • Today's guest is Sandra Tanner from Utah Lighthouse Ministry. She has been on Tim's show several times over the years dating back to the days of the Tim and Al show in Southern California and St. Louis. She is the great great granddaughter of Brigham Young, and was raised in the LDS faith, with her parents being married in the Salt Lake Temple. When she met her husband Gerald, he was in the process of leaving the Mormon faith. They came to realize there were problems with Mormon doctrine compared to Biblical Christianity.

Sandra explains that the Mormon view of God is not Biblical, with a belief that God was once a man like us on another planet, and grew to become a god. She says they believe that there are multiple gods for different planets throughout the universe. After studying the differences between the God of the Bible and the Mormon god, she had to make a choice to either accept God or accept Joseph Smith. Smith said that the Mormon god spoke to him verbally as a teenager, and claimed that all Churches were wrong, all their creeds were an abomination, and that god was going to start a new church with Joseph.

Tim asks Sandra if she would vote for Mitt Romney as a Mormon. She says as a person living in Utah she has no choice but to vote for a Mormon in local elections since they are the only people running for office. In Mormonism the authority is much more emphatic than it is in other Christian faiths. She says that as a Mormon Romney was once a Bishop, and in the temple ceremony he has sworn obedience to the Mormon Church that takes precedent over any oath he would take as the US President. This oath is the most binding oath a Mormon can ever take, even if Romney might publicly state that the Presidential oath would take precedent.

Sandra says that Mormons believe that in the end times when Christ returns He will setup His kingdom on earth in Independence Missouri, and that Christ will rule during the millennial reign through the Mormon church. The Mormon Church leaders will be the ones ruling in a theocracy. Joseph Smith gave a prophecy called the White Horse prophecy, saying that at the time of the end the US Constitution will be hanging by a thread, and a Mormon Church elder will ride on a metaphorical white horse and save it (MB: The White Horse Prophecy is described on Sandra's website here: White Horse Prophecy). She mentions that many Mormons may believe that Romney is a fulfillment of this prophecy.

Tim mentions that Joseph Smith was the first Mormon to run for President. Sandra says that Smith believed that as President he could make an easy transition from President of the USA to the head of the political kingdom of God on earth under Christ. She says that in the end times the Mormons believe they will be gathered to Independence Missouri, and she points out that there is nothing in the Bible about Zion being in Independence Missouri. Mormons believe that Joseph restored the Gospel after a great apostasy, and Tim asks when the apostasy happened. Sandra talks about the belief in apostolic ordination, and that when the apostles passed there was no succession, with the god of Mormonism revoking the priestly authority after the first apostles died. Tim then asks why the Mormons bring the King James Bible with them when witnessing. Sandra mentions that the KJV is used to convince people that they really are Christians, but that it is a bait and switch, and that they really only believe in the Bible insofar as it is "correctly translated".

Tim asks how many changes there have been to the book of Mormon, and Sandra responds that there have been over 4000 changes. Some of the changes are minor grammatical changes while others are very major. She then talks about the translation process, and goes on to talk about the 4000 changes to a manuscript that was supposed to be dictated directly by God. Sandra's website is at Utah Lighthouse Ministries (UTLM). For further information on Mormonism go to the UTLM.org website and check out the "resources" section. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 1/28/12
  • Guests: Leon Patillo
  • Topics: Leon Patillo, former lead singer from the group Santana is the guest, talking about his concert on anti-bullying for youth.

    • Leon Patillo is today's guest. Leon is the former lead singer of the musical group Santana and is now living in Las Vegas. He was with Santana for six years and three albums, and voluntarily left the group to pursue contemporary Christian music, even though the group was just coming off of a gold album.

The group manager Bill Graham offered to double his income to stay, and then offered even more money and benefits, but he decided to leave as a step of faith. Tim asks what Leon thought when he first heard that Graham had been killed in a helicopter crash, to which Leon responds that his concern/regret was that he hadn't spent more time witnessing to him. He says that motivated him to witness to Carlos Santana, and saw him get baptized.

Leon says he moved to Vegas about a year ago, and had his heart stirred towards the youth. He says that next Saturday Feb. 4 they will be having an anti-bullying concert for the youth, along with the Desert Pines high school marching band and others. He then talks about Psalms 71:17-18 "But since my youth Oh God, You have taught me, and to this day I declare Your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me oh God, until I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come". He used this as confirmation about working with the youth, even with his gray hair. Leon says his mom was baptist and his dad was Methodist, so they jumped back and forth between Churches which was preparation for his current work. His son Gabriel from the group Tobymac will also be there at the concert. Gabe's new group is called Arch Nemesis and will be performing in Vegas as well as at this concert. Tim says that Leon would spend a couple of hours in prayer before his concerts, and they talk about other opportunities for prayer.

The counter bullying concert is on Feb. 4 at 1pm at Trinity Life Center auditorium (about 4 blocks from the Stratosphere), with the tickets going for $5 in advance and $10 at the door. He says they are also sponsoring the "Impact Center" for kids with basketball, computers, reading rooms, and medical and dental help. He says the concert will probably be about 60% youth and 40% baby boomers.

Leon closes with a song while he is sitting at the piano. Leon has a website at leonpatillo.org

Sandra Tanner, a former Mormon related to Brigham Young, will be the guest next week, and Tim will ask her about voting for a current Mormon for president (Mitt Romney). (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 1/21/12
  • Guests: Ryan Mauro
  • Topics: Ryan Mauro from Christian Action Network talks about Islam and the group "Muslims of the Americas".

    • Tim opens the show by asking for prayer as he goes to the porn convention in Las Vegas to witness.

Ryan Mauro is today's guest, from the Christian Action Network, with a website at www.ChristianAction.org. They have put out a CD called "Homegrown Jihad" which is a central topic for today's discussion. He was originally hired as a geo-political analyst when he was 16 years old, and was then hired by the Christian Action Network, where he has been since joining.

Ryan talks about the terrorist training camps that have been set up in the USA, including the group "Muslims of the Americas" that are reaching out to gullible Christians in the Churches. Tim then mentions the "religion of peace" as described by Bush versus the passages in the Quran that are anything but peaceful. He says that the terrorists are the true believers in Islam, which few point out. Ryan points out that there is a diversity of opinion in the Muslim faith. Ryan says he has many devout Muslim friends that are fighting the Islamists.

Tim asks Ryan if he would be opposed to a Muslim running for Congress if they opposed Sharia law. Ryan responds that he would not be opposed. Ryan goes on to say that the police do not have legal authority to investigate groups like "Muslims of the Americas" since they have not been labeled as a terrorist group. Christian Action Network asked Ryan to speak at the South Carolina Tea Party convention last week, and they were amazed that there was a thirty acre Islamic compound in South Carolina. He says his organization is willing to speak at any place that is willing to listen, even though the Islamic groups are very hostile towards their organization. Tim then talks about handing out tracts in the Muslim sections of Israel like Jericho and Hebron. He mentions that most Muslims in these areas believe that Mr. Obama is a Muslim and trained in Islamic Madrassas, and asks when Obama converted from Islam to Christianity. Ryan responds that he does not believe that Mr. Obama is a Muslim, but is a "universalist" that believes that all religions are "ok".

Next week the guest will be Leon Patillo from the musical group Santana, and the following week the guest will be Sandra Tanner from Utah who is related to Brigham Young and will talk about Mormonism. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 1/14/12
  • Guests: Flip Benham
  • Topics: Flip Benham from Operation Save America talks about abortion and the unborn.

    • Tim opens the show with a few comments about Tim Tebow (Christian quarterback for Denver Broncos), and how God is using Tebow for His own good purposes.

Flip (Phillip) Benham is the current head of Operation Save America and former head of Operation Rescue. Flip is heavily involved in protecting the unborn.

Flip says he was excited in 1973 when Roe-Wade passed, and before he came to know the Lord. He says he was a "drunken bum", and then turned his life around and went to Asbury Theological Seminary. He said that a majority of those in the seminary believed that abortion was "ok", although not the best solution. He graduated from Seminary in 1980, and then went on to pastor a Church, where he began preaching against abortion in 1982.

He founded a crisis pregnancy center in 1984. In 1988 he became heavily involved in the pro-life movement, and has been to jail several times based on his protests. He met Norma McCorvey of Roe v. Wade in 1993 (Norma was "Roe" in that case), and told her that 33 million babies have been killed due to the Roe V Wade decision. In 1995 Flip moved the national office of Operation Rescue next to the abortion mill where Norma worked. He then tells about Norma coming to the Lord, with Flip himself having the honor of baptizing her.

In 1991 at the zenith of the abortion movement, there were over 2000 free standing abortion mills. Today there are only 669 abortion mills, and the number of abortionists is down around 40%.

Tim brings up the Republican primary, and mentions that Romney was a supporter of planned parenthood. Tim then asks if Flip could support Romney. Flip says that voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. He says in the last election he wrote in Alan Keyes rather than vote for McCain. Flip says that abortion is not a political issue, it is a Gospel issue.

Flip and Tim then start a discussion on the proposed "personhood amendment". Flip says that this is an extremely important piece of legislation, and compares it to the emancipation proclamation. The personhood amendment declares that a pre-born baby is a person that is protected by the color of law in our country. The website for Flip's organization can be found at www.OperationSaveAmerica.org

Next week's guest will be Jason Campbell, project director for the Christian Action Network that has put out a video "Homegrown Jihad", and in two weeks the guest will be Chet Gallagher, now working on the personhood amendment. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 1/7/12
  • Guests: Glen Bucklew, guest host Kleg Seth
  • Topics: Glen and Kleg discuss the men's ministry at Centrum Las Vegas.

    • Kleg Seth is the guest host this week. Tim will return next week from his latest ministry trip.

Glen D. Bucklew is the director of Centrum ministries. Kleg worked with Glen during the 1980's. Glen says that Centrum is a sanctuary of peace and hope for men of ages 18 to 40 that are interested in straightening their lives out and beginning their walk with the living God. They minister to those involved in drugs and alcohol, as well as those that are sexually abused. The Centrum Las Vegas facility is located in Pahrump, near Las Vegas. They have a website at www.CentrumLV.org The men have opportunities to work in the community as well as at the Centrum "ranch", and are encouraged to spend at least one year in cost-free discipleship training at Centrum.

The men usually first hear about Centrum via word-of-mouth, and can contact them directly by phone at 775-537-1829. The men can usually get into Centrum quickly after the initial interview. Glen says he occasionally gets calls years later by those thanking him for the time spent at Centrum. Many of the men feel a sense of family in the program, which is not highly regimented. Glen then gives his own testimony, saying that he was living a life of partying, and felt he had bottomed out, when he started watching Christian TV and had his born-again experience.

Glen and Kleg met while Glen was working the crisis lifeline at Centrum of Hollywood. After that Glen went to work at Centrum full time in the Las Vegas Centrum. Kleg and Glen then discuss the opening of the men's facility in Vegas, which started in a two bedroom apartment. Centrum has always been an all volunteer ministry with nobody on salary (except for Tim, who was paid $5 per week). Tim was involved with Centrum when it first began in 1977, doing street ministry, and worked with them for about a year and a half. Glen closes the show with prayer and a few comments about the ministry. (Ed: MB)

Year: 2011

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 12/24/11
  • Guests: Pilot Mike Cahill
  • Topics: Pilot Mike and Tim talk about their latest to Israel.

    • Tim says a few comments about the Lord's birth to start off the show. He says he was handing out tracts today (Christmas eve) on the strip, and that a lot of people took the tracts today, including every one of the cab drivers.

Today's guest is Pilot Mike Cahill, a close friend of Tim's. Mike and Tim have been to Israel six times together, and met through Jack Chick. He says Jack is in his eighties now, and introduced Mike and Tim since he knew they both liked to hand out tracts.

Mike and Tim have also made trips to Juarez, which is one of the most dangerous cities on earth. They have also been to Redondo beach, and Manhattan beach passing out to the rich and elite. In Juarez they did not have a single person that turned down the tract. Jack has been read by more people than everybody except Shakespeare and Agatha Christie, with estimates of over a billion tracts being read.

In Mike and Tim's latest trip they were on the extreme northern border of Israel, near the Lebanon border. Mike says he occasionally asks the Jews, "where is your sacrifice today", with the typical response that the temple needs to be built. Mike expands on the point by saying that sacrifice is still called for whether the temple is rebuilt or not.

Mike then explains that it is best for men to give tracts to men, and women to give tracts to women, and says that all of the scripture for the tracts handed out to Jewish people use the old testament. Later in the trip Mike and Tim went into Hebron, where many of the people were taking the tracts, with nobody turning down the tracts. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 12/17/11
  • Guests: William Koenig
  • Topics: William Koenig from Watch.org discusses news about Israel and America's and consequences of the lack of support.

    • Tim is back from his latest ministry trip to Israel. Mike Cahill will report in next week's show on the trip. While there he handed out the tract "Allah had no son" among others.

William Koenig is today's guest. He is the author of the books "Israel, the Blessing or a Curse" and "Eye to Eye: Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel". Bill and Tim start the discussion by mentioning a number of natural and man-made disasters and other events that have occurred after the USA failed in its support of Israel. Bill mentions that a large number of these disasters have occurred within 24 hours after the US has put pressure on Israel to divide their covenant land.

Tim says that before the election the "so-called Palestinians" were supportive of Obama, and that Mr. Obama's popularity in Israel has been increasing. Bill says that President Bush today has a popularity rating above 80%, while Obama has approval in the single digit range (less than 10%). Bill says that the Bush admin never dealt directly with Arafat. Tim says that practically every Muslim he has met in Israel believes that President Obama is a Muslim. Bill responds that from what he has seen, he would be reluctant to say that, although he says that there are some that do believe he is a Muslim.

Tim brings up the subject of Obama attacking the Bible, and his use of the phrase "Holy Quran" in talking about the Quran. Bill says that Mr. Obama talks about Thomas Jefferson as if he honored the Quran, and that the Quran was in his library. He goes on to say that Jefferson was actually trying to understand the Barbary Pirates that followed the Quran.

Tim asks Bill to describe the Biblical boundaries of Israel, and says that the world is focused on Israel giving up Judea, Sumeria, and part of East Jerusalem. Bill responds that the peace process is focused on asking Israel to give up the heart of Israel, and compares it to giving up the heart of the USA for peace, like giving up Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas. Tim and Bill then talk about the book of Zechariah in the Bible, where it says that the world will come against Israel, and compares it to modern opposition to Israel. He then talks about Genesis 12:3, that says God will bless those who bless Israel.

Tim then brings up Ron Paul, who is rising in the polls. Paul is in favor of cutting off all aid to Israel. Bill says we have a Biblical duty to back Israel, and that our support of Israel also gives us an important foothold in the area, benefiting both Israel and the USA. Tim says that there is a large portion of the Israeli population that are atheists. Bill responds that there are a number of Jews that have problems in understanding a God that would allow the holocaust.

Tim then brings up that there are many Christians that believe that the Church is now Israel (replacement theology). Bill says that many believe that the Jews have no right to Israel, and that the Church does not replace Israel. He says that there are also many that understand God's plan for Israel, and that the Church does not replace Israel. Bill has an excellent website at www.Watch.org that focuses on news about Israel. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 11/26/11
  • Guests: Danny Daniels
  • Topics: Danny Daniels from First Southern Baptist Chuch in Las Vegas discusses the 2012 Mayan prediction and other topics.

    • Pastor Danny Daniels is today's guest. Danny is the pastor of First Southern Baptist Church in Las Vegas, with services at 11 am on Sunday. Danny grew up San Jose, served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam, and is a graduate of California Baptist Univ. and Golden Gate Baptist Seminary.

Danny is the author of Mortal Midnight, and is the host of a TV show called "Momentum" that is a men's talk show with Bible study. Danny has now written a book called the "The 2012 Delusion". Tim asks if the Mayan prediction has anything to do with the book of Revelation. Danny responds that there is absolutely no relation between the two. He says that there were a number of Mayan calendars, and the one being discussed currently is the "long count calendar" which is cyclic. He then talks about other famous dates that have come and gone, and mentions June 6, 2006 (666) and a few others, along with Harold Camping's latest false prediction for the "end of the world" on Oct. 21, 2011.

Danny points out that the Bible has a beginning and an end, but that the Bible also has a big middle, and that middle is for our life, to get to know God's grace, redemption, salvation, successful Christian living, etc. Tim then mentions 1 Timothy 4:1 that talks about some falling away from the faith, and doctrines of demons. Danny responds that this relates to the "new age" which is now called the "new spirituality", and is outside the Bible. He says there is a doctrine of demons in the view that man is god, and that Jesus is just another person out there that was a teacher.

Tim brings up some of Oprah Winfrey's statements about Christianity, like "Jesus coming was not about his death and dying on the cross". Danny then relates this to the new spirituality movement, with no sin and no judgment. He says that the Jesus Christ that Oprah believes in is not the Jesus Christ of the New Testament, and that the new age Jesus Christ is a bloodless crossless Christ.

Danny and Tim then talk about the Da Vinci code, with Tim asking Danny to describe how he would witness to somebody that believes in the Da Vinci code. Danny responds that the code is myth with no history behind it. He then says a few words about the "scholars" that worked at the Jesus Seminar, with an agenda to tear down Biblical truth. Tim and Danny then talk about some of the cult movements like IAM, Hindu scriptures, and other topics. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 11/19/11
  • Guests: David Daniels
  • Topics: David Daniels from Chick Publications talks about Chick tracts.

    • Tim opens with a story about putting tracts into magazines at the grocery store. He also talks about Tim Tebow, the famous Christian football quarterback of the Denver Broncos, and offers a few words of thanks for Thanksgiving. He mentions that Tim Tebow even puts scripture verses in the eye-black under his eyes.

David Daniels from Chick Publications is today's guest. Tim says that Jack Chick of Chick Publications is the third most published author, only outranked by Shakespeare and Agatha Christie. David mentions that Shakespeare and Christie were given that honor posthumously, while Jack Chick is still alive and publishing. However, he points out that each individual tract is considered a publication.

Tim talks about people's ears being tickled as described in the Bible, and mentions it would be interesting to ask Joel Osteen what he considers tickled ears. Tim asks David about Catholicism. David starts by talking about hell and saying that it is real, and that criticism about "hate literature" is unfounded since he is trying to keep people from going to hell. It would be hate to let them go to hell without saying anything.

Tim asks Daniels about the tract "The Awful Truth". The tract is "upfront", and Tim says nobody has "bit his head off" for handing out the tract. David says the tract points out that there is a devil, and he wants to destroy your life, and that the devil does not want you to be saved. The devil came up with a counterfeit faith and a fake Jesus. David goes on to talk about "the goddess called Mary" and the differences between the Gospel of the Bible and the gospel of Rome. Tim points out that there are other "Jesuses" out there, and mentions that there will be many that come in the name of Jesus, and talks about some of the sins of the popes.

Tim says he has been handing out Chick tracts for 41 years, and overcame his fears about handing out Chick tracts dealing with Catholics. Tim then talks about the new comic book called "The Jesuits" published by Chick. He says the comic book was developed over two years, and gives a good background on the Alberto series of tracts and provides other information on the Jesuits and their origin. David says that 98% of Jesuits do not wear the priestly clothes, making them difficult to recognize.

Chick Publications has published over 800 million tracts, and David says there are usually 75 active titles, with a huge number of tracts that are no longer active. The Chick publication website is located at www.Chick.com. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 11/12/11
  • Guests: Keith, Fred, and Randy from Stepping into the Light Ministry
  • Topics: Stepping Into the Light Homeless shelter for men in St.Louis

    • Tim opens the show talking about his ministry on the Vegas Strip handing out Christian tracts, and the importance of witnessing, emphasizing the point that these people that do not know the Lord Jesus are going to hell.

Some of the people from Stepping into the Light Ministries are today's guests in a followup session from last week. The first guest is Keith, one of the staff members at the ministry. He says that they are celebrating a first year of sobriety today for two of the residents, with a dinner and graduation. Keith gives his own testimony, saying that he had been on the streets for 13 years, and got lost in the world of crack cocaine. He says he is now studying to be a minister, and that the program at Stepping into the Light is hard but good. It is a non-denominational faith-based facility that preaches and teaches the Word of God, and welcomes those with drug problems.

Keith says some of the men don't make it, and some leave the facility and then later return. He says the doors stay open for those that want to come back, and that some men have been there several times getting help. Tim asks what the difference is between those that keep coming back, and those that get it right the first time. Keith responds that very few men get it right the first time. He says the men have a variety of problems related to drugs and alcohol, and that the key is a spiritual awakening that can then be applied in the natural.

Fred is the next guest. Fred says he was looking for a program for drug and alcohol deliverance when he found this program. He said he also liked the name of the program "Stepping into the Light", which meant something to him in reaching out to God. He heard about the program through Larry Rice, who has a TV program in St. Louis. Tim asks Fred what would lead him to turn to religion when you were getting a high from drugs. Fred responds that he wanted a meaning to what he did.

A third guest is Randy. Randy says he is blessed to be in the home, and that he came there a broken man. He has been there now for a year, and mentions that he had been through the veterans programs multiple times. He says that the previous programs did not "hit the heart". He says that the Stepping into the Light program does speak to the heart. Randy has been off of drugs now for two years.

Tim asks for you to send your donations to Stepping into the Light Ministry, with a mailing address of "1402 Hebert St., St. Louis MO 63107", phone: 314-231-5175. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 11/5/11
  • Guests: Jerome Bracely (Stepping into the Light Ministry)
  • Topics: Homeless shelter for men in St.Louis

    • Tim opens the show with a few comments about his witnessing today in a nursing home, where three people came to the Lord.

Jerome Bracely is today's guest. Jerome is the executive director of "Stepping into the Light Ministry" based in Saint Louis, a homeless shelter for men seeking help with drug and alcohol abuse. Tim met Jerome while Tim was living in St. Louis (Tim broadcast for 12 years in St. Louis). Jerome begins by talking about his early days of witnessing and meeting Tim, and handing out tracts. Jerome mentions that he has been encouraged by Tim handing out tracts.

Jerome then talks about his background, saying that in 1995 he had been into drugs and alcohol for about 15 years. At that point he joined a shelter called New Life Evangelistic Center. He said that he had hit rock bottom, and joined their two year program for homeless men. He then gave his life to the Lord and left the drug life.

During a new convert class they asked if anybody with drug problems would come up to the alter. He said he was afraid to go, and that the pastor later asked him to share what he had shared in private. He then went forward, in a situation where he was almost the only black person in a mainly white Church. He said he asked the Lord to take the drugs and alcohol away from him. After that he went home and later watched a video that kept saying "Stepping into the Light". He prayed about it and named his ministry "Stepping into the Light Ministry", and quit drugs.

He received a house as a donation to the ministry, and turned it into a shelter for men around 1995. He now has men that have been through his shelter and have been clean of drugs and alcohol for 10-15 years. Tim asks Jerome if he is able to find the men jobs in this tough economy. Jerome says he does try help them a little, but mainly helps them find temporary agencies. The shelter does have some pressing needs, and Jerome says the city is now asking him to put in a sprinkler system for the home.

Jerome's mailing address is "Jerome Bracely, 1404 Hebert St. Louis 63017", and his phone is "314-422-6337". Jerome says we will be hearing from some of the men that have been through his shelter on next week's show. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 10/29/11
  • Guests: Ed Decker (Saint's Alive Ministry)
  • Topics: Mormonism, Free Masonry, Is it OK for Christians to Vote for Mitt Romney?

    • After opening the show Tim welcomes Ed Decker from Saint's Alive Ministry as today's guest. He is a former Mormon that has been speaking and teaching the truth about Mormonism for over 30 years. Ed has written numerous books and pamphlets on Mormonism and Free Masonry, such as: "God Makers"; "Decker's Complete Handbook on Mormonism"; "My Kingdom Come: The Mormon Quest For Godhood"; "The Dark Side of Freemasonry"; "The Question of Freemasonry"; "To Moroni with Love" and many others.

Tim starts by mentioning the recent news about a pastor that said Mormonism is a cult. Ed explains that by definition it is a cult, but the word cult takes on different meanings, like with a "cult following" of a band. He then points out that Mormonism cannot be Christian because they believe in many gods who have created many "earths" throughout the heavens and universes.

Ed was a Mormon for 20 years until age 39, and believed that he would become a god himself, and people his own planet. He says that "Mitt Romney believes that God is an exalted man... who lives on a planet on a great star Kolob with his many goddess wives as his harem creating spirit babies that they send to the earth to gain bodies so that they can become gods"

Tim brings up Joel Osteen saying that Mormons are Christians. Ed says that this is not correct, and that Mormonism is not Christianity. They are believing in a different Jesus, who was created by a physical man-god and his daughter Mary to create the physical body of Jesus Christ. He then says that this Jesus of Mormonism is a separate god and the brother of lucifer, and that for this Jesus, "he became a god by an election at a council of gods", and then mentions "Joseph Smith, whom god gave the keys to the last dispensation of earth."

Tim then asks Ed if a real born again Christian should vote for Mitt Romney: Ed answers "Absolutely Not, unequivocally, without even blinking". He says it is never going to be a choice between Romney and Obama, but suggests there are many people that a person could vote for or write-in instead of Romney or Obama, for example Herman Cain or your aunt. He says that "I will not vote for a man that believes that this country is destined to become a Mormon theocratic government" that is similar to the Islamic Caliphates. He says there is a belief that "the Constitution is going to fail, the Mormons are going to step in and its going to become a theocratic socialistic kingdom of god in the United States." He says that they believe that Jesus will not return until this takes place.

Ed says that Mormons like Romney, Glenn Beck, and other Temple Mormons swear blood oaths of consecration and obedience to the implementation of the kingdom of god. Ed says Romney swore blind blood obedience to the "prophet" above all else in life. The Mormons convert about 250,000 people per year, with about 120,000 quitting the first year.

Tim starts the discussion on Free Masonry and asks if there are problems with the burn centers, hospitals, the Shrine Circus and other things run by the Masons. One problem, Ed says, is with the blood oaths taken by Masons, in contrast to the Bible which says to avoid oaths ("swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation", James 5:12, KJV). Ed says that talking to family members and loved ones about "going to the Lodge" is difficult. Ed's father was a Mason and kicked him out of the house when he started talking about Free Masonry, although his dad later confessed that it was a sin and rejected Free Masonry.

Tim and Ed then talk about one of the sacred names in Masonry "abaddon" which is mentioned in Revelations 9:11 as the Hebrew name of the king over the demons in the pit of hell. Tim asks if many Shriners know about Baphomet, and Ed replies no, most of them view the Masons as a drinking club. He says they do some good with the money, but says only about 20% of the money raised goes to hospitals etc., with the rest going to parties, temples, parades, and misc. Ed Decker's ministry website is at www.SaintsAlive.com, which has a large collection of materials on Mormons, Free Masons, and other topics. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 10/22/11
  • Guests: Lindsay Williams

    • Tim is back in Las Vegas and delivers the show live from the station. He mentions that a couple of previously scheduled guests that were missed due to technical problems will revisit the show. William Koenig of Watch.org, and a guest from Stepping in the Light Ministries will be rescheduled. William Koenig is now scheduled for Dec. 10, and the Stepping in the Light Ministries guest is scheduled at a time to be determined. Next week's guest will be Ed Decker talking about Masonry.

Lindsay Williams is today's guest. He used to be a guest on Tim's previous radio show "Morning with Tim and Al" on KBRT in Southern California, and on KJSL in St. Louis. Lindsay says he was invited by "the elite of the world" to be their chaplain in Prudhoe Bay Alaska after being a pastor in Hollywood for 12 years (Grace Baptist Church). He says prior to the chaplaincy, he would have never believed that a small elite group of people controlled the world. He kept in touch with some of these people over the years, and has now written six books and has been on multiple radio programs and speaking engagements. He has now produced a three hour DVD series entitled "2012, The Beginning of the End". If you would like to get the DVD's from Lindsay, he has a website at www.ProphecyClub.com.

He says the elite (super wealthy) want to create massive debt before the crash, so that when the crash comes they will own everything. This will lead people to believe that the "new world order" is the solution, along with a new currency. He says the elite are the ones buying Greek bonds, knowing they will probably default, making them more likely to welcome the New World Order. He then goes on to talk about the Federal Reserve, and comments that the Federal Reserve is not "Federal" and is not part of the US Government.

Lindsay predicts that by the end of 2012 all private assets secured by paper will be worthless, such as IRA's, 401k's, mutual funds, etc. He says that the preferred currency to prepare for the collapse is gold and silver. He says welfare, food stamps, and social security will continue to receive benefits for a few years to prevent riots, until the US defaults on the national debt (T-Bills, and other Treasury securities). He says that people must build their house on a solid rock, Jesus Christ, to deal with the coming collapse.

Tim says in the Old Testament Joseph prepared for his family and others, while in the New Testament Jesus says "be anxious for nothing", and then asks "where is the balance". Lindsay says Daniel went into the lions den, and that God did not save him from the lions den, but He went there with him, and the same with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the furnace. In like manor, he says many are expecting God to save them from the New World Order and the coming crash, but implies God will help them through the crash. (Ed: MB)

  • Date: Sat, 10/15/11
  • Guests: William Koenig, and guest from Stepping in the Light Ministries

    • (MB: Sorry folks, there were serious technical problems with both the radio broadcast and the internet broadcast of this show. Tim plans to have the schueduled guest William Koenig on in the near future, and also plans to reschedule the same guest from "Stepping in the Light Ministries".)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 10/8/11
  • Guests: Susan Perlman

    • Tim continues his visit in St. Louis, where he is calling into the show live. He has been handing tracts out at Mosques, although he was recently "invited to leave".

Susan Perlman is today's guest. She is an Associate Executive Director from Jews for Jesus. This show is being broadcast during Yom Kippur, which began at sundown last night. There are about 200 people on the staff of Jews for Jesus worldwide. They have their own tracts that they hand out along with music and drama.

Tim then talks about the passage in the Bible that says His followers would be hated by the world, and asks Susan about people's reaction to Jews for Jesus. Susan was brought up in a traditional Jewish home, and says that Jews for Jesus is not trying to destroy or persecute the Jewish people. She says that Christians care about the Jewish people and the land of Israel, and that God made promises to Israel, and those promises will be fulfilled.

Tim asks about the dividing of the land of Israel. Susan responds that Israel has always had disputes over the land, and that this is temporary. Tim asks Susan what brought her to the Messiah Yeshua. She responds that she was working in an ad agency in New York and met a Christian folksinger in the early 1970's who shared his faith with her. He had people at his Church pray for her and she felt convicted. She wanted to have a personal one-on-one relationship with God, which led her to the Lord.

Tim asks about those that believe that Jews do not need salvation, who point to the passage in the Bible that says that all Jews will be saved. Susan responds that the Bible is clear and that the Jewish people are not exempt, with the message of redemption going out to all people. Tim asks about the best way to approach an orthodox Jewish person to witness. Susan responds that for Orthodox Jews it is best for a man to approach a man and a woman to approach a woman. She says one thing to say might be that "my own faith is increased every time I meet a Jewish person".

Susan says there is a lot of free witnessing material at the Jews for Jesus website at www.JewsforJesus.org, along with books like "Witnessing to Jews". There is also a store at Store.JewsforJesus.org with a large selection of material. They also have a publication called "Issues" that is free that can be sent to any Jewish person. She says that some people are more likely to allow reading material into their homes when first encountering the Christian faith. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 10/1/11
  • Guests: T.A. (Tom) McMahon

    • Tim opens the show from St. Louis, where he is visiting for a couple of weeks. He then recommends going to the new Christian movie "Courageous" which just opened in the theaters. Tim says "it is the best movie I have seen in my life". This is by the same people that put out the movie Fireproof. He then talks a bit about Halloween, and suggests handing out Christian tracts to people that come to your door on Halloween.

T.A. (Tom) McMahon is today's guest from www.TheBereanCall.org. He has co-authored a number of books with Dave Hunt over the years. Dave Hunt wrote a book a few years ago called "A Woman Rides the Beast" that deals with the Roman Catholic Church in the last days. Tim asks Tom how to reconcile some of the different views of the Catholic Church held by Church leaders. Tom talks about Billy Graham reversing his previously hard statements on the Catholics to his current soft positions on Rome. Tim and Tom then talk about Vatican II, and Tom points out that the Catholic Church cannot change, since it is an infallible Church. He talks about the Council of Trent after the Reformation that taught that salvation on faith alone is anathema to Rome.

Tim asks Tom about the Catholic position on Israel, and Tom responds at length with a discussion on Replacement Theology that he says is at the foundation of their position. He reads from the section in Revelation about "a woman rides the beast" which he says is talking about Rome (city on seven hills that rules over the world). Tim reads material from Cardinal Ratzinger (now the current Pope Benedict XVI) about the Virgin Mary. Tim then asks about the Assumption, and Tom responds by first talking about the Immaculate Consumption, which to Catholics means that she was conceived and born without sin. Tom then makes the connection with Tim's question about the "Bodily Assumption of Mary" by talking about the sinless nature of Mary that is taught by Rome, and the problem of having a sinless person die - hence the Assumption.

Tim and Tom then talk about apparitions of Mary that are reported in the Church, with Tom comparing apparitions and praying to the saints to a form of necromancy and communing with the dead. Tim asks how Catholics are saved. Tom says that they have to be "in a state of sanctifying grace" when they die, and cannot die with a mortal sin on their soul. He then goes on to talk about venial sin and suffering here in this life, and then talks about purgatory. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 9/24/11
  • Guests: Richard Bennett

    • Richard Bennett is today's guest. He is a former Roman Catholic Priest that served as a parish priest for 21 years. After 14 years of contrasting Catholicism with Biblical Christianity he was saved in 1986 by God's grace alone. He is now the head of a ministry that reaches out to Catholics called the Berean Beacon. Richard was a previous guest on Tim's show about 12 years ago.

Tim asks Richard about the norm or standard of truth used by Catholics. Richard responds at length about the Catholic emphasis on "Sacred Tradition" in addition to "Sacred Scripture" in defining their faith, and cites the Catechism for official Church positions. (MB: Short audio dropout here). The Catholic Church holds that Tradition is of equal importance to Scripture in defining their doctrines and beliefs, with equal devotion and reverence. Richard points out that the absolute standard in Biblical Christianity is God's Word, the Bible, with Scripture alone being the authority.

Tim asks Richard how Catholics are saved. Richard points out what is necessary for salvation, reading a few passages from the Catechism. He then talks about the seven sacraments in the Catholic Church that are necessary for salvation, and compares to the scriptural standard of "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:31). Tim asks Richard about where the faith rests with Catholics, given the basis of tradition. Richard reads from the Catechism that states that the Catholic Church bears, nourishes, and sustains the faith, and that the Church is our mother, and that believing is an ecclesiastical act (Church act).

Tim talks about the Pope kissing the Quran, and Richard mentions that the communication between the Vatican and Islam is a Catholic attempt to bring Islam into the Church. Richard then says that it is the Person of Jesus Christ that is the source of our faith, not an institution. Richard has an excellent selection of materials and information on his Berean Beacon site that are helpful in witnessing to Catholics, located at www.BereanBeacon.org. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 9/17/11
  • Guests: Tom (T.A.) McMahon

    • Tim is back from his trip to New York, and talks about some of the tracts on Islam he passed out while there.

Tom (T.A.) McMahon is today's guest from the Berean Call, where he is a partner in ministry with Dave Hunt (Dave is now in retirement). The discussion begins with a few comments on the movement in the United Nations to create a Palestinian state within Israel. There are prophecies in God's Word that the world would turn against Israel in the end times.

Tim brings up the issue of Bono (from the band U2) that appears to be pushing for unity among the world religions. Tom mentions that in the end times the Bible says there will be a one-world religion, and mentions that Christianity is not a religion. All of the other world religions are based on works with diverse beliefs. Tim then brings up John Hagee, who believes that all Jews are saved, pointing to the verse in the Bible that says "All Israel will be saved". Tom mentions that this verse applies to the "remnant" of Jewish believers that will be present at the Lord's return, and then brings up the issue of replacement theology. Tim mentions Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein that has a ministry called the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, but does NOT believe in being born again, and that Christians are sending money to this man. Tom says that TBN has a history of leading people away from the truth.

Tom spent 30 years as a Roman Catholic before becoming a Born Again Christian, and is very familiar with Catholic doctrine. Tim brings up Billy Graham, who has made very positive statements in the past about the Pope. Tom mentions that Billy Graham is an enigma, and that decades ago he said that their are three evils in the world: Communism, Roman Catholicism, and Mohammedism. In his later "Billy Graham Crusades" he would have Catholic nuns and priests there acting as counselors to talk to people that came forward during an alter call.

Tim talks about the time he spoke with Billy Graham, and said to Billy that the Bible says that His followers would be hated by the world, and that Billy Graham is near the top of the list of popularity. Tom responds by talking about the "deadly disease of pragmatism" and that "Christ supplemented is Christ supplanted", meaning that compromise and adding to Christ via psychology and other ways of the world is displacing Christ. Tom then brings up the passages in Galatians that discuss other gospels not taught in the Bible. Tom's ministry has a website with a newsletter and a large amount of materials at www.thebereancall.org. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 9/10/11
  • Guests: Kleg Seth

    • Tim is delivering today's show live from New York City, where he is handing out Christian tracts during the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks by Muslim terrorists.

Tim's friend Kleg Seth will be helping at the station with today's show. Yesterday Tim says he went to the largest Mosque in New York, where he handed out the tracts "Allah had no Son" from Chick publications. He said that most of the Muslims accepted the tracts he handed out while wearing his "I love Muslims" T-shirt.

Kleg asks Tim about the recent activities at the United Nations (UN) regarding Palestinian statehood. Tim then talks about the tract "Somebody Angry", and relates it to God's judgment of nations that want to destroy Israel. Tim went to the UN during his New York visit where he handed out a number of tracts. He points out that there never was a "Palestinian state", never was a "Palestinian king", and that the whole thing about the Palestinian statehood is "a bunch of hooey".

Tim then asks Kleg about the work he is doing in developing movies. Kleg says we have lost the culture war because of Hollywood, and that over time Hollywood has been taken over by liberals going back to the mid 1960's. In the early 1960's there was a religious commission that reviewed all scripts and screenplays, and had an influence on producers. In the mid 1960's this commission became liberal and would applaud movies that were ungodly, moving towards productions that were more demonic and hedonistic. He goes on to say that the only hope is revival, and talks about others that are producing quality Christian content like the movie "Fireproof", and the new movie "Courageous" to be released Sept. 30. He believes that these quality movies can be the seeds for revival.

Kleg expands on the theme of moral decay in Hollywood by talking about the homosexual movement pressing for acceptance, to the point where now almost every TV show has a homosexual. Kleg then talks about some of the activities and stories from the seventies at the Centrum of Hollywood ministry. Kleg has a website at www.thechristianstudio.com (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 9/3/11
  • Guests: Ed Decker

    • Tim opens the show saying he will be in New York over the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He asks for your prayer support during this time.

Ed Decker is today's guest from Saint's Alive Ministry. Ed is a former Mormon (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, LDS), with books, a movie, and other ministry materials dealing with the Mormon faith and Free Masonry. Ed left the Mormons and came to the Lord as a Born Again Christian at a small non-denominational Church in Seattle.

Tim asks about approaches for Born Again Christians in witnessing to Mormons that come to their door. Ed answers that it is best to respond in love. Ed says that young Mormons are trained in witnessing the Mormon faith, and may knock on 100 doors before getting 1 person to listen, with a small fraction of those accepting the Mormon message. Tim then shares some stories about his witnessing as a Born Again Christian in Mormon wards (Mormon Churches).

Ed says that Mormons are trained through a lifetime of two-minute talks. He says that a key to witnessing is understanding that Mormons have a response mindset drilled into them, almost hypnotic, beginning with "I believe the Book of Mormon is the word of God". He says that is the point to challenge them with questions like "what do you mean that the Book of Mormon is the word of God?" He says Mormons believe they have a higher knowledge, and are unwilling to be taught by someone with lesser knowledge. He suggests phrasing your remarks as questions, and discussing the "need for a restoration" as taught by the Mormon Church. What needed to be "restored" when the Mormons "restored" the Church? He says that saying things like your "doctrine is from the devil" builds walls and is not useful.

The book and movie "The God Makers" by Ed Decker and John Hunt are available on Ed's site at www.SaintsAlive.com. The movie and book are criticized as "filthy lies" by the Mormon church. Ed has repeatedly asked the Mormon critics to bring proof that what he says is false. So far not a single challenge based on facts has been made. He says he has been spit on by women, beat up, poisoned, and subject to other attacks during his ministry. Ed also talks about some material he has written on Mitt Romney and Glenn Beck (both Mormons), and will send it by email to those that request it. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 8/27/11
  • Guests: Pastor Biniam Asefaw

    • Tim opens the show talking about the "land for peace" initiative that the world is trying to force on Israel, and suggests some of God's judgments that might be associated with those supporting the sellout of Israel.

Pastor Biniam Asefaw is today's guest. Pastor "Bini" is pastor at the Bethel Church of Eritrea in Las Vegas, which holds services at Trinity Life Center. Eritrea is a country in East Africa bordering Sudan, Ethiopia, and Djibouti. Pastor Bini shares his testimony, saying he first went to Church at age 14 when he felt the love of Jesus. He started his ministry towards the end of 1995 when he gave his life to the Lord, becoming a full time minister at a full gospel Church. His Church started growing but was under pressure from the government to not preach to Muslims, and he was sent to jail. After six months he was taken from prison and put on the border with Ethiopia, where they were having border problems. He asked the Lord to help him spread the Gospel in this difficult environment, and says that God protected him during that time. He then went to the Sudan where he became a pastor of a Church, and later moved to Italy, where he sought political asylum and became a full gospel minister of an Eritrean Church in Milan. After Italy he moved to Las Vegas to Trinity Life Center.

Tim and Pastor Bini discuss the difficult problem of witnessing to Muslims. Tim and Bini also talk about Coptic Christians, and the need for Coptic Christians to become real Born Again Christians, and have a relationship with God. Tim encourages Muslims to read John 9:35-38 that deals with Jesus being the Son of God, and to contrast this with the Islamic view that Jesus was just a prophet. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 8/20/11
  • Guests: Mark Martin

    • Tim opens the show saying that he will be heading to NY City with about 4000 tracts for Muslims in September.

Mark Martin, a former Seventh Day Adventist pastor, is today's guest. Tim and Mark talk about a prophecy seminar Tim attended that appears to be sponsored by the Adventists, and after the seminar they invited Tim to a Bible study on Daniel. Mark says that the primary goal of the study is to point out that the Adventists are God's remnant Church. The Seventh Day Adventists set a date for Jesus' return in 1844, and then reinterpreted the "prophecy" as a movement that took place in heaven.

Mark was born and raised in the Adventist Church, and says he could not remain a Christian and stay in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mark says the Ten Commandments are part of the Old Testament covenant, and that God has established a new covenant. He then points out that the Sabbath (Saturday) is not a moral law, but a sign of that covenant. Tim raises the issue of dietary laws in Leviticus observed by Adventists, and Mark responds that Jesus declared all foods clean.

Ellen White taught that it was a sin to say that you are saved, and the discussion moves to the assurance of salvation (1 John 5:13), and the Adventist "doctrine of Investigative Judgment". She also taught a works-based salvation in contradiction to scripture, and many teach that worship on Sunday is the Mark of the Beast (MB: I even have teaching tapes sold by the Adventists that teach exactly that). She both contradicts scripture and contradicts herself, and of course has made false prophecies. Some pastors teach that the words of Ellen White are more reliable than the Bible, and believe that Jesus was the archangel Michael. For further information please visit Mark's website at www.exadventist.com. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 8/13/11
  • Guests: Todd Nettleton

    • Tim opens the show saying that 25 years ago he and his co-host Al Gross won the LA top jock contest, and tells the story of how he won. He then talks about how God can use people for His glory, and lists some of the people that God has used in the past. He says that God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

Todd Nettleton, Director of Media Development for Voice of the Martyrs (VOM), is today's guest. This famous organization, founded in 1967 by a persecuted Christian from Romania, deals with persecuted Christians around the world. Tim asks Todd how we can get the Church in this country to pray for persecuted Christians. Todd responds that we need to personalize the prayers by connecting names and faces with the prayer.

Todd talks about some of the Christians that have been physically attacked, such as having acid thrown in their faces. He says that Voice of the Martyrs has a ministry called VOM Medical that helps deal with some of the medical issues of the persecuted Christians around the world.

Tim asks about Christians in Islamic countries that remain silent, believing they will be killed if they confess their Christian faith. Todd and Tim then discuss the Bible passage that says "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 10:32-33). Todd says we should not worry when we stand before those in authority, since the Lord will help us to know what to say.

To help get the Church involved, Todd urges Pastors to sign up for the VOM newsletter, and to be active on the International Day of Prayer for the persecuted Church, scheduled for the second Sunday in November. To learn more about VOM, you can visit their website at www.Persecution.com . (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 8/6/11
  • Guests: Pastor Terry Jones

    • Tim opens the show by telling us about his planned visit to New York City to hand out tracts to Muslims, and says a few words about freedom of religion.

In Islamic countries you can be put to death. Dr. Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center is today's guest. Terry is known for his controversial burning of the Quran. Tim asks Terry why he decided to burn the Quran, to which Terry responds that it was done as a protest. He says after violence broke out in reaction to his protests he decided to put the Quran on trial. Dr. Jones website is located at www.StandUpAmericaNow.org

Tim asks if he would have done anything different,to which Terry responds no, he wanted people to see some of the dangers of the Quran. Terry talks about the law of abrogation, and applies it to how the later verses in the Quran abrogate some of the earlier more peaceful verses.

Tim asks him why he went to Dearborn this year. Dearborn has the largest Muslim population in the USA. He said for his first trip he was initially going to support another person attending. The friend decided not to go, but Terry went anyway to talk about Islam. He went back to Dearborn to "put the Quran on trial". He was put in jail, but refused to post bond, since he felt it was a free speech issue. He was later allowed to preach in the assigned "free speech zones" in Dearborn. Tim asks if he will burn a Quran again, and Terry responds no, he doesn't think so. (MB: Show has problems with volume balance between guest volume and Tim's volume). (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 7/30/11
  • Guests: (none)

    • Tim's scheduled guest, Chuck Missler, was unable to be on today's show. The remainder of the show Tim talks about a variety of topics, ranging from Harry Potter to the Sinner's Prayer.

Tim begins by talking about the DVD "Harry Potter, Witchcraft Repackaged, Making Evil Look Innocent" from Chick Publications. This DVD is appropriate for ages 12 and up. Some of the questions dealt with in the book deal with issues like: "Does Witchcraft/Wicca have power, and if so what is its source?". The DVD covers similarities between witchcraft and some of the things going on in the modern world, and how the world has become desensitized to Wicca and Witchcraft. He mentions that the magazine Christianity Today has even had articles that portray Harry Potter in a positive light.

Tim mentions that in a poll by Campus Crusade for Christ, 98% of Christians do not witness to others. Tim then talks about the need for others to hand out Christian tracts, and discusses techniques for talking to the unsaved and dealing questions like evolution and the six-day creation. He also talks about the "sinner's prayer" frequently used in witnessing, and reads some material written by Charles Spurgeon. Tim then says that the focus should be on the user's own words and their recognition of a need for repentance, with readings from the Evidence Bible. He also talks about other issues like "is it wrong to speak to the dead?", and says that those that consult with the dead are "dabbling with the demonic realm". (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 7/23/11
  • Guests: Marcia Montenegro

    • Marcia Montenegro, a guest from the old St. Louis program, is today's guest. She is a former licensed astrologer and former president of astrological society. Tim asks Marsha about those predictions by astrologers and others that come true. Marsha responds that sometimes it is a coincidence, sometimes guesses, and sometimes even demonic guidance. She says it took her about a year and a half from the time she came to the Lord until the time she realized that astrology was evil.

She then talks about the latest Harry Potter movie. This is the final movie in the series and has a special draw. There is now one whole generation that has grown up with Harry Potter. Tim asks Marsha how to witness to a person that is a big fan of Harry Potter. Marsha responds that God DOES take some of the things in Harry Potter seriously, even though some people don't. Marsha also objects to the underlying theme that learning the occult practices by Harry is a "good thing". Tim reads Deuteronomy 18:10-14 that deals with familiar spirits and diviners and sorcery.

Tim asks Marsha about parents whose kids complain that "all the other kids are doing it". Marsha responds that it is a parents job to make those decisions. With older teenagers, she would sit down with them and talk to them about God and how He views it. Tim and Marsha also say that a parent is responsible to God for their children.

She has several articles on books and movies on her home page, which is located at www.ChristianAnswersfortheNewAge.org (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 7/16/11
  • Guests: David Daniels

    • Tim opens the show talking about the porn racks on the Vegas sidewalks that have pornographic materials.

David Daniels from Chick Publications is today's guest, and talks about Masonry. He has written a book "Should a Christian be a Mason?". You can order his book on the website www.Chick.com The book is intended for those interested in the concept of Christianity and Masonry.

Tim asks about the origins of Masonry, to which David responds that the early roots are in stone masonry guilds, and talks about the levels of skill within the building trade and the levels in the modern day Masonry. He says that the guild changed from a skill based group to a group that was taken over by philosophers, and goes on to discuss the well-known compass symbol of Masonry and some of the literature.

Tim then asks David about some Southern Baptist preachers that are also Masons. David says there are at least a million Southern Baptists that are Masons. He says that most Masonic Bibles have an entire section at the beginning before the regular KJV Bible text that deals with Masonry, and also talks about "Baphomet".

Tim asks David what the Masons teach Jesus. David says that Masons teach that Jesus was a good man, and lump him in with other philosophers, and points out that the Jesus of Masonry is not the Jesus of the Bible. Other books by David include "Answers to Your Bible Version Questions", and "Did the Catholic Church Give Us the Bible", and "Look What's Missing". (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 7/9/11
  • Guests: Dr. Robert Morey

    • Tim opens the show saying he will be going to NYC after Ramadan, and plans to go to Israel in September, and then London to witness to Muslims.

Dr. Robert Morey is today's guest. He has been a regular on this show in the past, and returns after being away for awhile. He has written 57 books, and is now working on his 58th book. Tim mentions a few titles like "Satan's Devices" and "Islamic Invasion". He says he is not a prophet, but that many of his predictions about Islam etc. have come true, such as the denial that hell exists.

Dr. Morey says a few words by talking about how to witness to men and women in Islam, and says we need to use different approaches for women (like do not touch them). Tim brings up the topic of female suicide bombers, to which Dr. Morey says that the suicide is for money. He says Al Quaida, the Saudis, and the Muslim Brotherhood all offer money to the surviving family for suicide bombers.

Tim contrasts the miracles in the Bible to some of the things stated in the Quran and Hadith, and discusses the credibility of Muhammad as a prophet. Tim brings up the signs by the freeway in Las Vegas by Ad America that list the names of God, including Allah. Tim asks Dr. Morey if Allah is just another name for the God of the Bible. Dr. Morey brings up Malaysia, and says that it is against the law to use the name "Allah" for any "god" other than the moon god of Islam. He mentions that the god of Islam is not a triune God, which is a different god than the God of Christianity. This is in contrast to the belief by some that Christians and Islam worship the same "god".

Tim brings up the issue of "Oneness" in Christianity, who deny the triune nature of God. Dr. Morey points out that this errant belief (Oneness) is based on a flawed understanding of Greek grammar used in the Bible. Dr. Morey talks about this at length in his book "Trinity: Evidence and Issues". Dr. Morey has a website at www.FaithDefenders.com (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 7/2/11
  • Guests: Samy Tanagho

    • Tim opens the show by saying hi to Abraham, a Muslim cab driver that Tim met recently at the Arab American Festival in Dearborn Michigan. Samy Tanagho is today's guest. Tim also met Samy at the festival June 17-19. Samy has been to many of the festivals, where he witnesses the Gospel to the Muslims attending the festival. Samy has a book out entitled "Glad News! God Loves You My Muslim Friend", which has been issued in several languages including English, Arabic, Farsi, and Chinese. He was born a "nominal Christian", and came to know the Lord while in Egypt. He also talks about his wife's conversion from Islam to Christianity.

Samy says there are a lot of Muslims that are "Born Again", but do not confess their faith to other Muslims. Tim asks Samy if the Jesus of the Quran is a different Jesus, since the Quran says He did not die on the cross. Samy says that there are a number of common areas in the Quran and the Bible that can be used as stepping stones in witnessing to Muslims. He said he studied the Quran in law school, and points out that the Quran does not supersede the Bible. Tim asks Samy about the belief that the Bible was altered, to which Samy responds that the Word of God cannot be changed, and cites several passages in the Bible and the Quran. He says that the problems arise due to misinterpretation of God's message.

They also talk about the assurance of salvation, which is a foundational doctrine in Christianity, compared to Islam where even Muhammad said he did not know if he was going to heaven. Samy has a website at www.gladnewsministry.com (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 6/25/11
  • Guests: Pastor Bill Walker, Barry Perez

    • Pastor Bill Walker is today's first guest, and is the pastor at Four Seasons Church in Las Vegas. Earlier in his life Bill had a musical comedy act called "The Walkers" that did impressions of celebrities (MB: He still plays guitar and sings during service on Sunday, a true blessing). He says he was involved in homosexuality and came to Christ at age 20, but still struggled with that lifestyle. Although he struggled, he says he didn't identify with the gay movement. Bill talks about how the gay political movement has moved into some of the mainline denominations, and that many are now ordaining gay pastors. Bill says we have a standard given to us in Scripture, and that to really know the fullness of what God has for us we need to live in obedience.

Tim talks a bit about Fred Phelps from the cultic Westboro Baptist Church, the famous group that protests at funerals of homosexuals. Tim asks Bill how Christians should reach out to people like Phelps preaching false doctrine. Bill says there is a point at which you need to dust your shoes off and move on. He points out that sanctification is not instantaneous, but takes time in the life of the believer, and says that the cure for homosexuality or any deviant lifestyle is holiness.

Barry Perez is today's second guest. Barry will be a guest speaker at Bill's Church on Sunday. He says that if the Church can be revived, then awakening can come to the world. Tim asks Barry about compromise taking place in faith, including the coming together of Christianity and Islam taking place in some Churches. Barry says we need to have a pure message, saying that Jesus never compromised His message, but continued to reach out and speak the truth in love. Tim asks Barry about repentance and the passage that says "sin no more". Barry mentions that repentance is the kind of Godly sorrow that leads to a change. Barry will be speaking at the Trinity Life Center on the east side of Vegas on Wednesday, June 28. Barry Perez' website is located at www.harvestimemin.com (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 6/18/11
  • Guests: Julie Garcia, Tim Gruver, Lazaro Lopez, Jon Trusty, others

    • Tim is hosting tonight's show from the Arab American Festival in Dearborn Michigan. This is the 13th year that the festival has been held. Tim says there are 5 ministries at the festival spreading the Word. This is Tim's third year at the festival. A judge's ruling last week said that it is legal to pass out Christian tracts on the street. Twenty Five Churches applied to attend the festival but were turned down. Tim mentions that some people criticize the tracts he was handing out, and describe the tracts as hate literature. Tim responds that he flew from Las Vegas to Dearborn to keep people from going to hell, and that is not hate but love.

His first guest is Julie Garcia. She mentions that the mood is angrier today than the day before. Tim Gruver is another guest. It is Tim Gruver's first time to the festival to hand out tracts. Tim Gruver was arrested in Jordan and Egypt for preaching. If you would like to contact Tim Gruver about his ministry, he can be reached via email at Binrock777@Yahoo.com. Another guest for today's show is Lazaro Lopez. This is Lazaro's fourth visit to the festival, and he has been carrying a large banner with the Ten Commandments and other Scripture. You can contact Lazaro and ask about his ministry via email: LazaroLopez@Comcast.net. Another guest is Jon Trusty, who Tim stayed with while in Dearborn. Jon brought his 11 year old son to the festival to learn about evangelism and to help witness. Jon has been handing out free ice water at the festival, and then uses the opportunity to witness. He also interviews a few other guests at the festival towards the end of the show, and encourages others to hand out tracts to spread the Gospel. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 6/11/11
  • Guests: Tracy Haines

    • Tim opens the show talking about Tim Tebow of the Denver Broncos, who was recently on the Huckabee show talking about asking Jesus into his heart. Tebow said that if he didn't accept Jesus into his heart he would be going to hell. Tim also says a few words about his recent visits to homosexual bars. He is hoping to be at the Arab American festival next week handing out tracts.

Tracy Haines is the guest on today's show. Tim met her while he was passing out Christian tracts on the Excalibur bridge on the Vegas strip, where she was also witnessing and passing out tracts. Tim has been handing out tracts on the Vegas strip for over 5 years.

Tracy came to the Lord about 12 or 13 years ago while she was a dermatology resident in training. She was challenged by a fellow resident to read the Bible for herself, and was led to the Lord. She uses the "Way of the Masters" approach to evangelize. She says this approach bypasses the intellect and goes directly to the content using the law, with questions like "do you consider yourself to be a good person?", and then asking more questions about specific sins, like "have you ever lied?". She says people do not understand sin in this country, and most people rely on their own "goodness" to get to heaven. The Way of the Masters approach is from Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort, who have a website at www.LivingWaters.com .

She has been using this technique for about a year, and has seen several true conversions. She says we are all called to preach the Word. Tim mentions that Charles Spurgeon said "have you no wish for others to be saved? Then you are not saved yourself". Tim says he has not once wanted to go out evangelizing, but is always glad he did after he gets out there spreading the Word. In closing Tim reads a few passages from the Evidence Bible by Ray Comfort. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 6/4/11
  • Guests: Pam Caylor, Karen Silva, Dale Davidson

    • Tim opens the show by talking about his recent visits with Pilot Mike to transvestite and homosexual bars in Vegas to spread the Gospel. He mentions that one of the doormen at a bar says he goes to a Baptist Church (MB: pray for the doorman). He also mentions that he is hoping to go to the Arab American festival in Dearborn Michigan June 17-19, Lord willing.

Tim's guests today include Pam Caylor who is the former director of First Choice Pregnancy Services, and Karen Silva who is the new executive director. Pam has a show on KKVV on Tuesday at 4pm. Karen oversaw six pregnancy centers in Boston prior to coming to First Choice. Another guest is Dale Davidson, president and general manager of KEEN 17 TV in Las Vegas. Dale talks about the issue of money in building a new Christian TV station. He says that they came up short for rent of the studios recently, but was given 90 days rent free by the Christian landlady.

Tim talks about Flip Benham and Chet Gallagher. Chet is a former police officer in Las Vegas that came to believe that abortion was murder. While he was a police officer he decided to take action, and on his days off would travel the country and lock arms with Flip during abortion protests. Flip is one of the people that helped start Operation Rescue, and Chet is with Operation Save America. Dale followed Flip and Chet with film crews in Vegas with three film crews and made a two-part documentary which will air June 9 and 10 at 9pm on KEEN TV (channel 17 over the air, and channel 119 on Cox).

Pam talks about the abortion issue, and says there are somewhere between 1800 and 2500 pregnancy centers in the US, and that there is a need for education about abortion, even in the pro-life Christian community. Pam talks about the impact of showing graphic images in talking about abortion, and says that Karen came from an organization that did not use graphic images, but now says that many of the clients thank her for showing the images.

Karen had abortions in her own life, and became a Christian when she was 38. She had trouble getting over the events and began working with a pregnancy center to help women deal with the abortion issue. Tim asks about protesting in front of abortion mills. Pam responds that the most effective way appears to be to not have the signs about abortions but to reach out in love. They also talk about Rachels Vineyard, a weekend retreat for women and family members that have gone through abortion and need post abortion healing.

If you would like to support or learn more about First Choice Pregnancy Services, they have a website at www.firstchoicelv.org. The website for Rachels Vineyard is located at www.RachelsVineyard.org.

The website for KEEN 17 TV is still under construction, but is located at www.keen17.com. KEEN also asks for your prayers and support. The KEEN website currently has basic contact information for the station. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 5/28/11
  • Guests: Pastor James Wilson, Brother Anthony, Brother Black

    • Tim opens the show talking about Harold Camping's false prophecy of the Lord's return on May 21, 2011. Harold has tried to guess the date on the Second Coming once before, when he said the return would come in 1994. The Bible says that Jesus' return would come as a thief in the night, and that we would not know the time. He also talks about the Seventh Day Adventists, their recent billboards about "Babylon Rising", and the false prophecies by Ellen White. He suggests those interested in knowing more about Seventh Day Adventists visit the site www.exadventist.org by Mark Martin, an ex Seventh Day Adventist pastor. Tim also makes a few comments about the reality of hell.

Brother Anthony is one of today's guests, from the "Street Praise and Outreach Team." His mother left him alone at 8 years old with a $20 bill and that is when he came to know the Lord. He didn't have family or friends, and the Lord was all he had. Since he was young, a number of ministries took him under their wing. He was led by the Holy Spirit to the "Classroom of Faith Ministry". Brother Black is also a guest on the show. He was raised since birth in Christianity, and says his full walk with Christ started a few years back through Brother Anthony. James Wilson is also a guest and Pastor for the Classroom of Faith ministry. James met the Lord after his time with the military and marital problems. He felt suicidal when the Lord reached out to him.

Tim asks James what led him to street ministry, and mentions that sometimes he is one of very few people, and sometimes the only one, handing out tracts on the Strip or Freemont Street. James mentions that the Churches are sometimes too involved in money to be involved in outreach, and that street ministry is not for the faint of heart. Tim asks what percentage are "in the gutter" because of gambling, with James responding that 60-70% of the people appear to have had gambling problems. Tim asks about dealers working on the Strip that might be Christian. They respond that God has people placed in a number of areas, and that they can be used to witness where they are, at the casino. The guests mention that they are down on the Strip every night between 7pm and 12am, giving testimonies, handing out tracts, and counseling people they meet.

Tim asks where to send people that are homeless on the Strip, and they mention that there are several ministries that care for those in need, such as Victory Outreach in addition to their own shelter (Classroom of Faith) that has a home opening on June 1 that should be able to house six people. They say it is important to take care of their physical needs first (food shelter clothing etc.) before taking care of their spiritual needs.

If you would like to contact Classroom of Faith Ministry, they can be reached by phone at 702-808-1366, and have a Church at 917 East Charleston Avenue in Las Vegas. They have a Bible study on Thursday, Sunday services, and on Tuesday have a fellowship night with a Biblically based free movie. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 5/21/11
  • Guests: Dr. Jerome Corsi

    • Tim opens the show with a few comments about Mr. Obama's support of same-sex marriage, abortion, and infanticide (killing of babies after birth). Dr. Jerome Corsi is today's guest. Dr. Corsi received a PhD in Political Science from Harvard, and is a senior staff reporter for World Net Daily, www.wnd.com. He is the author of two best selling books books: "Obama Nation, Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality", and "Unfit For Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry".

Tim and Dr. Corsi open the discussion by talking about the Obama birth certificate issue, which is the topic of Dr. Corsi's latest book, "Where's the Birth Certificate?: The Case that Barack Obama is not Eligible to be President". He mentions that Obama's book "Dreams from my Father" could be viewed as a classic case of misinformation. Tim asks why mainstream media conservative reporters like Hannity and Colter have dodged the issue. After the release of Dr. Corsi's book, Mr. Obama released the "long form" of the birth certificate, which is also questionable. He also talks about Donald Trump being "satisfied" with the latest certificate, and mentions that Trump was perhaps never seriously interested in running for President. Tim then asks Dr. Corsi for the reasons he believes that Mr. Obama was born in Kenya and not born in Hawaii. A number of problems with the alleged birth in Hawaii are cited by Dr. Corsi. He says that there is evidence that the Kenyan birth records have been destroyed, and questions whether Mr. Obama senior was the true father. He also mentions that there are no Hawaii hospitals that show records of Mr. Obama's mother being a patient. Dr. Corsi's website is at www.jeromecorsi.com . (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 5/14/11
  • Guests: Pat Boone

    • Tim opens the show by mentioning he was recently asked to leave one of the transvestite bars in Vegas for handing out tracts. He talks a bit about the various types of tracts he hands out on the Strip, and talks at length about errant doctrine in the Catholic Church, and the meaning of "Born Again Catholic" as defined by Catholics.

Pat Boone is the first guest today. Pat begins by talking about a story/interview in Rolling Stone magazine about Pat Boone. The interviewer followed Pat for a few days, including attending services. The interviewer said that Pat Boone makes young people sick, while older people like him. He says that it is not about his music, but about his lifestyle. The magazine article concluded that "what you see is what you get" with Pat.

Tim asks Pat about the show "The Academy" which was aired on TV as part of the "Night Gallery" series written by Rod Serling. He also talks to Pat about the recent passing of evangelist David Wilkerson. Pat played the part of David in the movie "The Cross and the Switchblade". Pat points out the passage in the Bible "Precious in the site of the Lord is the death of His saints" (Ps. 116:15) as he talks about David Wilkerson. Tim asks Pat "What made David different?" Pat responds that David's dad was a preacher, and his entire life was focused on the Gospel. Initially David was reluctant to have a movie (The Cross and the Switchblade) made about him. David liked the movie after it was made, which has been translated into a large number of foreign languages. To close out the show, Tim asks Pat to sing the words of one of his songs "Everybody Dies". Pat Boone's website is at www.patboone.com . (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 5/7/11
  • Guests: Russ Fiedler

    • Tim says a few words about mothers to open the show, and a few comments about David Wilkerson, who recently died in a car wreck. Pat Boone played Wilkerson in the movie the Cross and the Switchblade. Today Tim will play a recorded tape of David Wilkerson talking about the great apostasy.

Tim's first guest is Russ Fiedler, who started a Christian bumper sticker company. Tim has several Christian bumper stickers on the back of his car from Russ's site. Tim reads a few stickers over the air, like "Boycott Hell, Repent", "Live so the Preacher won't have to Lie at your Funeral", and "Isn't it rather hypocritcal to Favor Abortion when you have already been born?". The website for these stickers is at www.ChristianBumperSticker.org, where he has about 700 different bumper stickers listed in 10 pages on the site. Russ also has bumper stickers in various languages like Spanish, Portugues, Russian, and others. His phone number is 636-462-2109, and his mailing address is P.O. Box 505, St. Ann Missourri. (MB: There are audio balance problems with this recording, making it difficult to hear Russ Fiedler)

In the next segment, Tim plays a tape from David Wilkerson called "The Great Apostasy". The topic is the great falling away towards the end times that the Bible talks about. David talks about some of the "professional techniques" in the Church for raising money. He says that many of our Churches no longer have the power of God to attract people, although the Churces are full in the name of "Church growth at any cost." In Isaiah it says the apostasy will include a rejection of holiness, judgment and repentance. Everything today is being excused under the banner of love. This is a perverted love, and David says he wants nothing to do with it. You can get the tape at the site www.WorldChallenge.org. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 4/30/11
  • Guests: None

    • Tim says he is now street preaching in addition to handing out tracts on the Vegas Strip, and is frequently preaching near the Coca Cola shop on the Strip around 10 am. He opens today's show by talking about astrology and reincarnation, and the way the Bible refutes these practices. He also talks about the early Church's rejection of gnosticism as a pagan religion. He reads some material published by Dr. Morey on astrology, indicating that the Magi of the Bible during Jesus's birth were not astrologers. He then goes on to talk about reincarnation and karma and how the Bible also rejects these concepts. He goes on to describe how John the Baptist was not the reincarnation of Elijah, and points to other passages that some erroneously use to show the Bible supports reincarnation and karma.

(MB: There were some recording problems with the show, so the show ends early after about 12 minutes.) (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 4/23/11
  • Guests: George Mattmiller

    • George Mattmiller is today's guest from Keen TV in Las Vegas. George opens his guest spot with a reading of Psalm 111, verses 1-6, and compares the Psalm to the works going on at KEEN TV. Tim asks George what brought him to the Lord. He was born into a loving Christian household, and strayed from the Lord at age 10. During a eulogy, he realized that he did not know Jesus, and didn't know why he needed Jesus. The next Sunday he started attending Church again. Tim asks if he was offended to hear that Jesus is not the only way. Tim talks a bit about protestants calling their preachers "Reverend". George responds by talking about grace, and says it is up to us to use the airwaves to spread the Word, and that people who reject Christ choose to be separated from God and go to hell.

Tim asks George what they need at KEEN TV. He says he is not involved at KEEN on a full time basis, but that what attracted him to the station is the commitment of the people, and that they have an opportunity to work side-by-side with God. George says that there are many avenues at the station to serve the Lord, and that they are also using social media to bring the Churches in the Las Vegas valley together. He says Vegas has 38-40 million visitors, and that they stay in hotels where they might here the Gospel through KEEN TV in their hotel room. KEEN has only been on Cable TV since February. Tim asks if they are getting responses yet from people. George responds that they are just now getting ramped up, and that they need finances. If you would like to contribute, call the station at 702-636-1717.

Tim closes the show by reading a testimony from James K Walker about the Mormon faith. James grew up as a Mormon, and actively participated in Mormonism. He finally turned away from the Mormon faith and turned to true Christianity. He says that he was never confident about truly keeping the laws of God as required in the works-salvation teaching of Mormonism. (Ed: MB)

  • Date: Sat, 4/16/11
  • Guests: Stacy Massey, Gina Weir

    • Stacy Massey is the the first guest today, and Gina Weir is today's second guest.

This is abortion recovery awareness month, and Stacy Massey is cofounder of Abortion Recovery International Inc., a Christian association of counselors around the world that help women and families after an abortion. Statistics show that a woman that has had an abortion is six times more likely to commit suicide. The pro-choice side does not want these statistics out there. This and other statistics can be found on Stacy's website. Stacy herself has had two abortions, and says that 64% of women were coerced into making the decision to have an abortion. Tim asks Stacy about politicians running for office that have adopted a pro-life position. Stacy responds that we need to look at the persons record when making a decision on who to support. Her website is at www.AbortionRecoveryAwarenessMonth.org and www.AbortionRecovery.org .

Gina Weir is the second guest. She has a Bible study and TV show on KEEN TV in Las Vegas that she hosts. She was raised Catholic, and came became Born Again around nine or ten years old. She always loved being on the stage as a child, and wanted to use the stage to spread the Word. She began speaking at her Church, and now works at Come to the Cross Ministries. Tim asks Gina if there is a hunger for the Word at Bible studies today. Gina responds that the Scriptures say that in the last days the hearts of many will grow cold. Tim mentions that gang bangers are more likely to take the tracts he hands out than the businessmen on the Vegas Strip. The TV program that Gina hosts is on Wednesdays at 11 pm on KEEN TV. Tim will be a guest on the TV show this April 20 at 11 pm. Her website is at www.cttcministries.com. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 4/9/11
  • Guests: Danny Daniels

    • Tim welcomes Danny Daniels from First Southern Baptist Church at sixth and St. Louis avenue as today's guest. He has a TV show on KEEN 17 in Las Vegas and a radio show on KKVV in Vegas. The TV show is a talk show for men, and is broadcast from 5-6pm M-F. His radio show is on Thursdays at 4-5pm, and is called the Southern Baptist Revival Radio hour. He also has a book about the year 2012, "The 2012 Delusion" that has just been released. The book should be out in print in about 3 weeks, and covers the 2012 "off the wall" predictions based on the Mayan calendar from a Christian perspective. He points out that Dec. 21, 2012 is nothing more than 4 days before Christmas, and is not going to be "the end of the world".

Danny's main topic today is about the sinking of the Titanic. He says that not one life should have been lost in this famous event. He says it was the pride of man that sank the Titanic. The Titanic had some of the richest men of the day on-board when it sank. The rich men tried to buy their way onto the lifeboats, and Danny draws parallels with attempts to buy salvation. He talks about the "three Johns on the Titanic". John Jacob Astor was one of the wealthiest men on-board. John Phillips was a radio operator that ignored the warnings of icebergs. (MB: blank section for about 30 seconds in the middle of Danny talking, around 15 minutes into recording). John Harper was a pastor of a Baptist Church that was asked to stay on the lifeboat, but chose to stay on the Titanic and was preaching up to the end. Tim asks Danny about people that have tried Christianity, but that are just tired of all the hypocrisy. Danny answers that we need to put our trust in Christ alone, not in people. Danny closes with saying that Jesus Christ Himself is the lifeboat. Danny's Church at First Southern Baptist Church has services starting at 11am on Sundays. (Ed: MB)

  • Date: Sat, 4/2/11
  • Guests: Annie Lobert

    • Annie Lobert of Hookers for Jesus is today's guest. Annie was a prostitute for 16 years in Vegas, Minnesota, and Hawaii. She was raised as a Christian, and says that Christianity is strong in Minnesota, but that she didn't understand who God was. Her father was in the military, and her mother was a Polish Catholic. Due to the military life, she went to 7 different schools while growing up. She says she was always the new girl due to frequent moving. She always felt rejected, and wanted to be popular, and started drinking and smoking pot at age 16.

Tim asks Annie what drew her to the pimps. Annie responds that it is our culture pushes the view that it is "all about me" and instant gratification, and self-worth based on having things and looking good. She thought that she was in love with a man who turned out to be a pimp that demanded that she give him the money she made, and would severely beat her. She met another pimp after the first one, and came to realize she was destroying herself, and was a victim of human sex trafficking. After 16 years she met another man in the corporate world, and was unhappy as a business woman. She overdosed on coke, and as she heard the ambulance coming she called out to Jesus. She quit narcotics at that point and began reading the Amplified Bible and watching Christian television. She says the Holy Spirit ministered to her and changed her life. Annie's website is at www.HookersforJesus.net. Tim says he hands out tracts on the bridge at Mandalay Bay and frequently sees women that are girls in the "escort services", and that some of them take the tracts. He also hands out tracts during the Adult Film festivals, and has seen the Hookers for Jesus there witnessing. She now has a place called Destiny House that helps women leave the sex industry and change their lives. (Ed: MB)

  • Date: Sat, 3/26/11
  • Guests: Roger Oakland

    • Tim starts the show commenting that he has been passing out tracts on the Las Vegas strip for five years, and by this fall he will have passed out half a million tracts on the strip. He says that most of the tracts are either Chick tracts or tracts from www.LivingWaters.com.

Roger Oakland is today's guest. Roger has been interviewed on Tim's shows before over the years, going back to the "Mornings with Tim and Al" show on KBRT in Los Angeles. Roger has a website at www.Understandthetimes.org

Roger calls himself a missionary from Canada to Los Angeles and the world, after coming to Los Angeles in 1988 after an invitation by Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel. He launched his "Understand the Time" ministry in 1990. The mission focused on the Creation/evolution controversy in the early years, and then moved into the new age movement and experience based Christianity. His current focus is on the emerging Church. Roger has an article about Rob Bell on his website, who has a ten thousand member Church in Grand Rapids Michigan. Rob preached the gospel for years and is now viewed as a universalist, although Rob would deny that. Roger says that the agenda of the emerging Church is to make Biblical Christianity more acceptable to the post-modern generation.

Tim asks Roger what he would say to Rick Warren. Rick was concerned about the Church not relating to the man on the street. Roger would ask Rick to return to the Bible, and just teach scripture. Rick frequently talks about working together with other religions. This is OK for some social issues, but not OK for salvation and other spiritual matters. Roger says Rick means well, but that you cannot bring peace to the world without talking about the Prince of Peace. Tim asks Roger whether he has any concerns about Glenn Beck. Roger responds that there is not enough time to truly cover the issues with Glenn Beck (a Mormon), and says there is a movement towards a new world order as predicted in the Bible, and that we are in an age of delusion.

After the interview with Roger Oakland, Tim reads from an article from the Berean Call about Glenn Beck, written by T.A. McMahon. The Berean Call has a site at www.TheBereanCall.org where you can read the entire article entitled Beck's Bogus Beliefs. The article points out that the Mormon gospel is a different gospel, and the Mormon Jesus is a different Jesus. Glenn is a former Catholic that converted to Mormonism. Glenn was asked to speak at the commencement ceremonies at Liberty University. The commencement speech spoke about terms like atonement and other Christian terms which have different meanings in Mormonism. The Mormon god has a physical body and lives on a planet near a star called "Kolob". (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 3/19/11
  • Guests: Julie Garcia

    • Tim opens the show with a few comments about the recent earthquakes in Japan, New Zealand, Chili, and Haiti, and mentions some of the recent predictions about the major fault zones in California. He says we are not to live in fear, since you can't threaten a Christian with heaven. Today in the second part of the program he will be addressing the frequently asked question "Are earthquakes from God?"

Julie Garcia is the first guest, and has been going to Egypt for 10 years to spread the Gospel. She has been to Egypt around 9 or 10 times, and arrived in Egypt just days before the recent massive protests against the government. She comments that people in Egypt do not even talk about Jesus Christ, and in many cases can't talk about Christ in this Muslim nation. She was there in Egypt during the recent turmoil and protests, and says there was a massive police presence in Cairo when she arrived. After spending 3 days in Cairo, she went to a number of other cities to spread the Word. She talks about some of the problems with getting around by bus during the protests, as well as other problems with banking, shopping, and communications. She brings up Isaiah 19:1-2 and some of the parallels with the current activities, and says a few words about some of the problems within the Church, such as the Coptic Christian sects and their idols. For support, she asks the listeners to pray for those in Egypt. (MB: audio balance problems during this interview)

Before the next guest, Tim reads from Mathew 24 in the Bible where Jesus is talking about the signs leading up to the end of the age, and draws parallels with Louis Farrakhan and Jehovah's Witnesses. He encourages listeners to subscribe to "Voice of the Martyrs" magazine to see what is happening to Christians around the world.

As an introduction to the next segment, Tim mentions that he first heard about Frank Bartleman after meeting his son in a mission in South Pasadena. His dad wrote a book years ago called "Azusa Street", which is still in print and published by Whitaker House, although they have since edited out the chapter on the great San Francisco earthquake in 1906. Bartleman wrote a tract about the judgment of the Lord in the form of the earthquake. Frank used this quake as an opportunity to call people to repentance. He met with considerable resistance to spreading the message and tracts. He found that the earthquake opened many hearts to the Gospel during this time. Tim then reads from the chapter in Frank's book dealing with the earthquake, containing numerous Bible passages that deal with quakes. To learn more about Bartleman's tract on earthquakes, search the net via Google for the phrase "earthquake tract by Frank Bartleman". (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 3/12/11
  • Guests: Martin and Diedre Bobgan

    • Tim opens the show by making a few comments about the falling away in the Church and the rioting in Egypt. His guest today is Martin and Diedre Bobgan, who Tim has known for years. He used to interview Martin and Diedre on his show years ago named "Mornings with Tim and Al" on KBRT in Los Angeles and later on KJSL in St. Louis. Martin holds four university degrees, including a doctorate in educational psychology.

Martin is the head of Psycho-Awareness Ministries, and has co-authored 20 books with his wife Diedre. His latest book is "Stop Counseling, Start Ministering". He talks about psycho-heresy as being one of the greatest heresies in the twentieth century. Tim asks Martin what the Church did before Freud, Jung, and Rogers. Martin replies that the Church did what it was supposed to do: Minister to the people. Psycho-heresy is defined as counseling that departs from true faith and teaching of the Bible. Martin says that counselors need to encourage the people being counseled to grow in the faith. He also mentions that modern counseling is "female friendly" and that men do not want to be there. Tim and Martin bring up the problems with Oprah, Jerry Springer, and Phil Donahue that are popularizing these methods on TV, where the main listeners were women.

Diedre says that believers are to share one another's burdens without charging a fee. She says that in standard counseling people go into it with the hope that there partner will change. She says another problem with counseling is that only one partner in a marriage goes into the counselor without the other partner being present, which amounts to gossiping. Diedre comments that one of the problems with Freudian psychology is that it frequently centers on early childhood, and dishonors the father and mother during the counseling session. Tim mentions that the first line of psalm 1 is "blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly", and asks why Christians are having trouble following that Biblical advice. Diedre says that Freud was anti-Christian, and Jung was an occult psychiatrist and both Jung and Rogers repudiated Christianity. The book is free as an e-book on Diedre and Martin's website, www.psychoheresy-aware.org. Tim asks them about self-esteem, and Diedre mentions that we are to esteem others higher than ourselves, and that self-esteem is a buzzword from psychology. She says that frequently those that rate high on self esteem are often criminals. Martin says that this is an American phenomenon, where the focus is on self. The phone number for the Bobgans is 1-800-216-4696. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 3/5/11
  • Guests: Dan Phillips

    • Tim is back from his trip to Oakland and San Francisco where he handed out tracts with Pilot Mike Cahill. He opens the show by talking about the importance of evangelism. He talks about giving tracts to the people at the printing company he uses, and says he did not press them about their salvation. While he was in California he handed out the tract "Unforgiven".

Dan Phillips is the guest today. Tim says he handed out a number of tracts to older black women who were happy to accept the tract. Dan describes himself as a former dope smoker and non-practicing Catholic. He came to the Lord after reading the Bible. Dan says if you love Jesus Christ, then you know that most people that die are going to hell, and that breaks your heart knowing that. (MB: recording has sound balance problems). He also handed out tracts with Tim and Mike during this trip. Tim talks about handing out tracts to Mormons, and mentions that there are 102 Mormon wards in Las Vegas. He also describes handing out tracts to Jewish people.

Tim reads a short section entitled "Muhammad the Racist Prophet" from the book "Islamic Invasion" by Dr. Robert Morey. He then reads a number of Hadiths that describe Muhammad as a white man. (MB: Hadiths are writings viewed as the narration of the Sunnah (or lived example) of Muhammad, and considered religious writings in Islam) He also reads material describing the history of slavery of black people within early Islam, including slaves owned by Muhammad. (Ed: MB)

  • Date: Sat, 2/26/11
  • Guests: Tommy Scott

    • Kleg Seth is the guest host today while Tim is in the San Francisco and Oakland area handing out about 7000 tracts. Many of the tracts being passed out are focused on those involved in Islam.

Tommy Scott is the first guest today. Tommy grew up in Southern California in a broken family. Living in a gang infested area he got involved in gangs (starting in elementary school). He saw the passing of about 30 friends while growing up. His nickname was "hit man" on the streets. He started having kids by age 16, selling drugs to support his kids (he has 4 kids now). He was repeatedly in and out of jail. By his mid-twenties he was heavily involved in crime.

After being arrested for an outstanding warrant, he asked to speak to a psychologist to ask for something to calm him down, and also began asking God to reveal Himself. He went to a Bible study after hearing it announced at jail over the loudspeaker. It was at this Bible study that he met Tim and Kleg. It was at this study that he learned that God would forgive any sins he had committed in his life. After hearing the Gospel, he went back to his dorm and began witnessing to others about forgiveness, and about the joy he had after going to the Bible study. He then started a prayer group with others in the jail, and began talking to others about Christ. Although they wanted to give Tommy 10 years in prison, he was released on house arrest for 1 year. He had problems finding a job due to his record. He went to school for dental technician training, and found a job soon after starting training. Tommy now has a new home, and is happily married and living with 2 of his kids. (Ed: MB)

  • Date: Sat, 2/19/11
  • Guests: Frosty Wooldridge

    • Tim opens the show by talking about the recent visit of Arthur Blessitt to Las Vegas. Arthur has carried the Cross around the world, witnessing to millions. He spoke at a local Church in Las Vegas on Friday, and then the next day carried the Cross down Fremont Street in Las Vegas, handing out Christian tracts.

Frosty Wooldridge is today's guest. Frosty has traveled by bicycle over 100,000 miles across six continents. He says during his travels he has picked up over a half a million pieces of trash on the side of the road, and put the trash in a proper place. He has written the book "America on the Brink, the Next Added 100 Million Americans", and has a website at www.FrostyWooldridge.com . His book is about the uncontrolled population growth in America, mostly due to legal and illegal immigration. Frosty says that Muslim immigration in particular may cause problems with the push for Sharia Law that is common in other nations with large Muslim populations. Towards the end of the show Tim talks to Frosty about being Born Again. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 2/12/11
  • Guests: Rob Wright, Kleg Seth

    • Tim opens the show with a few comments about gambling, and the impact on the lives of Christians and non Christians. While the word "gambling" is not specifically mentioned in the Bible, neither are some of the other activities and sins that are inappropriate for the Christian lifestyle. (This show was not streamed over the internet.)

Pastor Rob Wright is the guest today. He is the pastor of Abundant Grace Church in Las Vegas, and also has a radio show on KKVV Las Vegas at 8:30am Pacific time on Sundays. He will be talking about the upcoming visit of Arthur Blessitt to his Church this Feb. 19 and 21. Arthur is known for carrying the Cross all over the world. The movie "The Cross" about Arthur Blessitt will be shown on Feb. 17 at 7:00pm at Abundant Grace. A nursery will be provided for small children during the showing of the movie. Arthur will be carrying the Cross at the Fremont Street Experience on Saturday night, gathering at 5:30pm at the Neopolis (the end towards the garage) for prayer, and then at 6:00 will carry the Cross down the 8 blocks of the Fremont Street Experience. Arthur has carried the Cross for 38,102 miles. He will also be speaking at Abundant Grace Church on Sunday Feb. 21 at both the 10:30am service and at a special service at 6:00 pm. The Abundant Grace website is at www.GraceinLasVegas.com. If you are a pastor that would like to talk to Pastor Wright, then you may call him at 702-655-3619. The website for Arthur Blessitt is at www.blessitt.com

Kleg Seth is the second guest. Tim has known Kleg since the mid seventies, and has stayed with Kleg for the last five years. Kleg went to Hollywood in the mid sixties to pursue acting and writing, and wanted to be an influence in the movie industry. He acted in the movie "The Cross and the Switchblade", where he was also the casting director. He goes on to say that one of the big reasons for the moral decline of America is Hollywood. Kleg, Tim and a couple of others created the Centrum of Hollywood ministry in Hollywood, CA. Kleg says that Tim was doing the same thing 30 years ago in Hollywood as he is doing now: handing out tracts on the street and evangelizing. Kleg's website is www.TheChristianStudio.com. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 2/5/11
  • Guests: Mike Shreve, Robert Morey

    • Tim is back from his trip to Israel. This is Tim's last program broadcast from KJSL radio in St. Louis. He is now broadcasting live from KKVV in Las Vegas. The show was recorded a week ago due to technical problems at the station.

Tim talks about his recent trip. He had the opportunity to witness to people and hand out tracts on the plane trip in addition to witnessing in Israel. During his trip he handed out a number of tracts and pictures of him witnessing to a wax museum statue of President Obama in Jericho. The pictures were quite popular with the Muslims. He handed out about 4000 tracts while in Israel.

Mike Shreve is the first guest. Mike is a former yoga teacher, and is now the head of Shreve Ministries www.ShreveMinistries.org. He studied eastern religions at an early age, and began seeking truth after a bad drug experience. He tells about spending hours in meditation and other experiences that he thought were from God, but now understands that this was not from God. After seeking God through prayer and reading the Bible, he met a hitchhiker that led him to the Lord. Tim asks Mike about using yoga as an exercise, and the spiritual aspects of yoga. Mike now encourages people to NOT practice yoga. He compares places where yoga is practiced to places of idolatry with strong seducing spirits. He goes on to say that yoga is inextricably tied to Hinduism. He also discusses the chanting of mantras, and other practices that are used in yoga and meditation.

Tim and Mike talk about the Beatles involvement in transcendental meditation, and the way this influenced others in trying eastern religions. Mike talks about Rick Warren, and how some of his teachers in the new health program at Rick's Church are using techniques similar to those used in eastern religions and "new age" beliefs.

Mike talks about some of the testimonies listed on his site at www.TheTruelight.net. The testimonies range from those caught up Eastern religions to Islam. He also gives his own testimony on that site. Mike can also be reached at 423-478-2843. He has another website www.DeeperRevelationBooks.org.

Dr. Robert Morey is the next guest from www.FaithDefenders.com. Robert briefly talks about the Orthodox Jews in Israel. He says that the Orthodox Jews do not believe in the Tanakh, but are mainly concerned with the Pentateuch, and hate Christianity. He discusses some of the problems with chapter divisions in Revelation. Dr. Morey also talks about the recent problems in Egypt, and the move in Egypt by the protesters towards radical Islam and jihad. He goes on to say that the Christians in Egypt will face even harder times if the radical jihadists take over. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 1/29/11
  • Guests: Mike Cahill (Pilot Mike), J.D. Vanderzee

    • This program is Tim's first show on the new station KKVV in Las Vegas. He just returned from Israel where he handed out tracts for about 4 days with "Pilot Mike".

Pilot Mike Cahill is the first guest. Tim begins the discussion by talking to Mike about Superbowl Sunday. Mike and Tim have been to Israel 5 times handing out tracts. This trip Mike and Tim went to Jericho to witness to Palestinians. One of the tracts handed out in Jericho was "Allah had no son" from Chick Tracts. (MB: Record volume on the guest phone line is very low, but audible).

J.D. Vanderzee is the second guest. J.D. shares some things about a quadruped robot (Google "big dog overview") developed through DARPA, and compares it to some things mentioned in the book of Joel chapter 2. The robot is designed to be a mechanized soldier. He also talks about the recent news of large numbers of birds dropping out of the sky, and compares it to passages in the Bible, Zephaniah chapters 2 and 3. J.D. says to keep an eye on Jordan and Syria. Tim talks to J.D. about Harold Camping setting a date of May 21, 2011 for the return of the Lord. J.D.'s website can be found at Bibletalk.podhoster.com. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 1/22/11
  • Guests: Leon Patillo, Dr. Robert Morey

    • Al Gross is the guest host at KJSL for tonight's show while Tim is in Israel. Al used to do a show with Tim out of Los Angeles on KBRT called the "Morning with Tim and Al" show. Tim and Al won the "Top Jocks" contest in 1986 for their show. The show later moved to KJSL in St. Louis which ran until 2005.

Leon Patillo is tonight's guest. Leon began singing with the rock group Santana in 1973 as the lead singer, in addition to his work with the groups Funkadelic and Martha and the Vandellas. Al starts the show by playing one of the Santana songs that he played as a DJ when it was new on his show at KQIQ Santa Paula, CA. Leon did 3 albums with Santana, and still keeps in touch with Carlos Santana. Santana discovered Leon Patillo after hearing one of his recordings in Los Angeles, and invited him to sing on his albums. He talks about some of the early days of singing with the group.

Leon then discusses his drug use with the band, and says that this was normal for rock and roll groups. He then met a girl whose brother Richard then began talking to him about the Lord, and finally brought him to a Bible study. Richard then prayed with Leon after the Bible study and led him to the Lord. Leon began singing praises to the Lord that evening. Leon was still with Santana at that time and began having conversations with Carlos (a Buddhist at the time), which led Carlos to start going to Church. He mentions that Carlos still has a bit of the old ways in him however, although Leon believes he is saved. Leon himself was raised with a background in Methodist, Baptist, and Catholic Churches. He says that he was fired from Santana the first time he left the group because he was "preaching too much". Carlos then asked him to come back to the group, which he did for one more album, and then quit to go into ministry. Leon was ordained by Chuck Smith at Calvary Chapel. (MB: recording interrupted a few times by call-waiting on Leon's phone, and occasional phone line breakup)

He talks about the differences in the music business between today and when he started recording in the seventies. If you would like to see where Leon is playing, or learn more about his ministry, then visit his website at www.leonpatillo.org.

Dr. Robert Morey is the next guest, and talks about his book "A Bible Handbook on Slander and Gossip". Robert talks about the process of talking to people who have fallen into Biblically defined sin, and using scripture to lead the discussion. He points out that we are not to judge motives or the heart, but we can address specific Biblical issues. Dr. Morey also talks about some of the criticism and attacks he has personally received on the internet, and how to deal with it. The show ends abruptly after running out of time. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 1/15/11
  • Guests: J.D. Vanderzee, Bill McKeever, Ray Comfort

    • Tim is in the planning stage for a trip to Israel in the next week. Tim opens the show with some important information about his radio show, and the upcoming move from KJSL in St. Louis to KKVV.com in Las Vegas. The new show will be broadcast live from the Las Vegas studio on Saturdays at 3:30pm CST (St. Louis), 1:30pm PST (Las Vegas). We would love to have the St. Louis visitors listen at our regular website (this website) Jesus and Tim Show Archive Next week, Lord willing, we hope to have Leon Patillo (Santana) as a guest. The last program on KJSL will be broadcast on Feb. 5, 2011.

J.D. Vanderzee is the first guest after going to lunch with Tim. He some things from his podcasts located at bibletalk.podhoster.com . J.D. talks about Bible prophecy, and discusses "Bigdog" and mechanized soldiers (google Bigdog Soldier). Tim and J.D. talk about Bigdog and the book of Joel 2 and Zephaniah. Tim asks about people that are "burned out" from listening to all of the prophecy teachers. (sound quality problems with this guest).

Bill McKeever joins Tim to answer the question on Biblical authority, versus believing in the Book of Mormon. This is an issue when witnessing to Mormons, since they view the Book of Mormon as more authoritative than the Bible, which causes problems in using Biblical arguments. Bill says that the Mormons talk about the "feeling" of truth, through the Holy Spirit, and emphasizes that this is not the way we determine truth. The Mormons would maintain that we have a corrupted version of the Bible. The Mormon scholars admit the bible is 99% true. Bill says that the "feelings" are not coming from the Holy Ghost, and should not be used as a test of truth. Tim asks Bill how we could be more successful in giving tracts out to Mormons. Bill says that the best way is one on one conversation. Tim asks whether we should welcome false teachers into our home. Bill says if you feel comfortable then invite them in, if not, then feel free to talk to them at the front door and witness. Bill speaks about living in Utah as a non-LDS missionary preaching to the LDS. Bill McKeever's website is located at www.MRM.org

Ray Comfort is the next guess. Ray goes back to the "Tim and Al" days of radio. Ray is active in books, DVD's, and other ministry efforts. The website for Ray's ministry is at www.LivingWaters.com. Ray says he is not a big prophecy buff, but he does say that God appears to be taking His hand off the nation. He says we have been treating God like a "Divine Butler". Ray then talks about the Jewish roots of our faith, and that salvation is through trust in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. Tim asks Ray "what is true repentance". Ray says a hypocrite will return to his sins, but do it willfully. He also talks about Christians lying in extreme situations, like lying to save loved ones. Tim asks Ray about street preaching, which Tim finds more difficult than handing out tracts. Ray says "he does both", and hands out tracts and preaches on the street. (some cell phone breakup). The discussion then discusses street preaching by engaging with the people without being condescending, and says that it is important to get their name, etc. to engage in real conversation.(Tim's phone also has cellular breakup). (Ed: MB)

    • Tim will be handing out tracts outside the adult film festival this weekend. Pray for those that are going to the adult film festival.

(MB: The station is having phone problems during this show and using the same phone bank for Tim and his guests, so the audio is a bit rough at times, with volume levels that vary and static.)

Bill McKeever is the founder of the Mormonism Research Ministry and is tonight's first guest. Bill has also the hosted the "Viewpoint on Mormonism" radio show for the last five years, and author of numerous books. Tim talks to Bill about Glen Beck, a well known Mormon TV personality on Fox News. The Bible says that we are to test the spirits, and it is in that spirit that tonight's discussion takes place.

Glen Beck has said before that "you cannot earn your way to heaven". He also spoke of a necessary change of heart. Bill McKeever says that there is no problem with these statements from Glen Beck, and also said that Beck's comments do not reflect standard Mormon doctrine and beliefs. He says we all need to pray for the full conversion of Mr. Beck to orthodox Christianity. McKeever makes the comment that guest Christians from orthodox Christianity on his TV show might lend credibility to Mormon theology, causing problems. It is important to understand the differences in terminology and meaning of the words used by real Christians and Mormons. Standard Mormon doctrine is that God's mercy must be earned, thus making the Mormon faith a works based faith. Other serious problems are with Mormon theology, such as Mormons being elevated in the afterlife to the level of gods of their own worlds. It is important for Christians to understand the nuances of Mormonism, and the meanings of the words they use.

The doctrine of imputed righteousness, which is believed by orthodox Christians, is a foreign doctrine to Mormons, who believe that righteousness is obtained by the keeping of the commandments. For a Mormon to get into the "Celestial kingdom" they must obey Celestial Law. In the Mormon faith, a believer can never have "the peace that surpasses all understanding" since they do not have the assurance of salvation. Bill then talks about depression within the Mormon community, and the high rates of suicide among Mormon women and teens. Bill says that the best thing to ask Mormons while witnessing is to ask them about their assurance of salvation, and then let them answer in their own words, and to then compare their words to the Biblical standards of salvation. Bill and Tim then go on to discuss replacement theology from a Mormon perspective, where they believe the Mormon church represents true Israel. Tim mentions that there are 102 Mormon wards in Las Vegas, and shares a few words about his personal witness to Mormons. Bill emphasizes that it is important to treat Mormons with respect when witnessing to them. Bill's website is at www.MRM.org

Dr. Morey is the second guess, and discusses the Nicene creed's use of the word "catholic", meaning universal Church, and does NOT refer to the Roman Catholic Church. He then goes into a discussion of the Apostles creed and the difference between hell (gehenna) and hades, and mentions that hell in the New Testament is the place of eternal conscious punishment of body and soul. He states that hell will be created after the Lord returns, when the disembodied spirits (non-believers) in hades are sent to hell. Those that have died not knowing the Lord are in hades, and are being tormented until the day of judgment, when they are sent to gehenna or hell. Tim brings up the fact that Harold Camping has set another date for the return of the Lord. Dr. Morey says that Harold Camping is "an idiot", and an embarrassment to the faith, and should just "hang it up" and get off the stage. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 1/1/11
  • Guests: Tommy, Dr. Robert Morey

    • Tommy makes a brief appearance as tonight's first guest, a former gang member in South LA that has now come to the Lord. Tim met Tommy when Tim was witnessing as part of his ministry to prisoners. Tom and Tim were handing out tracts on the Las Vegas Strip this New Year's Eve, on the bridge between the MGM and New York New York.

The majority of the hour is spent playing a tape of Dr. Morey on "how you know that Christianity is true". Dr. Morey begins by stating that if you are truly regenerate, then you hunger for Righteousness. He deals with a number of questions commonly asked by Christians, including doubts about yourself and your standing within the faith. These kinds of doubts have never damned a person. Self examination is natural and called for in the Bible, where in 2 Corinthians 13:5 we are told to examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith.

Dr. Morey also addresses "objective doubts" where a person might question the faith itself. In this case, a person is not questioning their place in the faith, but doubting the validity of the faith itself. It is these doubts that endangers a person's salvation. He mentions that objective doubt is one of satan's original tricks, where satan asked in the Garden of Eden "Hath God said...". The trick was to get man to question God. Dr. Morey goes on to say that evangelical faith within the framework of Biblical Christianity is the hardest faith to follow, compared to "easy" religions where all that is required is following a ritual.

He also points out that "happiness" is not the test of faith, and sincerity about your beliefs does not save a person. The 9/11 terrorists were sincere about their faith, gave their lives in demonstration of that sincerity, and of course were not saved. In evaluating a religion, it is important to look at the person (or Person) that founded it, and whether the person is an effective model of that religion, and a person (or Person) worth following. Buddha abandoned his wife and newborn son (hardly an "enlightened one" and moral example). Muhammad married a young 6 year old girl, and consummated the marriage when she was 9 years old, and "evangelized" by the sword. Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon cult, had 42 concubines, and was a murderer. There is One and only One Person that had both the morals in which the entire world agrees "this was a good man", with motives that were beyond reproach. That Person, of course, is Jesus Christ, who was the perfect model of what He taught. The rest of Dr. Morey's tape can be heard at www.FaithDefenders.com . (Ed: MB)

Year: 2010

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 12/18/10
  • Guests: Sandra Tanner, Rich Freeman, Dr. Robert Morey

    • Sandra Tanner is the show's first guest. She has a powerful ministry in Salt Lake City Utah witnessing to Mormons. Tim and Sandra discuss the topic "are Mormons Christians?". Sandra points out that the Mormons worship a "different god" than the God of the Bible worshipped by Christians. She points out that the Mormon belief is that God was not always God, but was once human and then became "a god" of our world. The Mormon belief is that all Mormon men will one day become a "god". The Mormons redefine the words used in Christianity to sound more compatible with the main stream. Sandra emphasizes that we should always be courteous when confronting Mormons that visit our homes to spread their message. She goes on to say that the rituals of the Mormon faith will not save anybody, but that salvation is only through the saving grace by faith in Jesus Christ. The Tanners have published several books over the years, which can be obtained through their website or most Christian bookstores. Sandra's website is at www.UTLM.org .

The next guest is Rich Freeman, Vice President of Church ministries for Chosen People Ministries, with a website at www.ChosenPeople.com . Rich's ministry specializes in evangelizing and witnessing to those in the Jewish faith. Tim asks Rich about the perceived "special Covenant" that the Jews have with God, as taught by John Haggee, and the mistaken approach by Mr. Haggee in NOT witnessing to the Jews. Jesus is "the way" for everybody, Jew and Gentile, and that there is no salvation apart from belief in Him. Rich points out that not every Jewish person will be saved. Tim and Rich talk about some of the risks in witnessing to children in Israel, where there are laws on the books about proselytizing to youth.

Dr. Morey is the final guest. Tim begins by mentioning some of the errant doctrines in Roman Catholicism, past and present, such as indulgences, purgatory, and other Catholic beliefs. Tim says that he is sometimes uncomfortable using the word "Christmas" due to the historic roots of the word (etymology), with its reference to the Catholic Mass. Dr. Morey then notes the "etymological fallacy" of assuming that the word Christmas still refers to "Christ's Mass", but rather today has evolved to the point where it is simply understood as the celebration of the birth of Jesus. Dr. Morey then tells a personal story about his use of genetic testing in tracing his own ancestry. The testing revealed he had Jewish ancestors. Dr. Morey then goes on to talk about the ancestry of Arabs, stating that he has a tract showing they are not descendents of Ishmael, but descendents of Ham. Dr. Morey's website is at www.FaithDefenders.com (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 12/11/10
  • Guests: Steve Harris

    • Tim is back from his trip to Israel and Jericho last week. This was Tim's sixth trip to Israel, and he talks about some of his previous trips. He gives details on a few stories, like the problems that Orthodox Jews have with "proselytizing", and the many problems with handing out Christian tracts in the Islamic areas. He also described a situation where he was led to NOT pass out tracts in the Islamic areas stating that Israel owns the land they are on. (MB: Sounds like wisdom from the Lord!)

A CD of Fred Frank and Steve Harris is played on-air, describing how people deal with the loss of a loved one. Fred Frank used to sing for Robert Schuller, and Steve Harris worked with Fred. The CD has several people talking about the grieving process, and finding comfort in troubled times.

Some of the stories of grief give details, like the grieving party living in a fog, suffering from loss of memory, and other symptoms, both physical and emotional. The main symptom reported in polls of grieving individuals is the problem of insomnia. During these stressful periods it is important to focus on a healthy diet, exercise, and rest. Other issues that are discussed include isolationism, and being "overly busy", both of which may create other problems. The spiritual parts of grief are for many people there first encounter with spiritual issues, and for people of faith to question their beliefs during these stressful periods.

Steve Harris, who recently lost his own wife to cancer, then joins Tim live to discuss the CD that he and Fred Frank created, called "About Tomorrow". The CD can be obtained at the web site www.AboutTomorrowCD.com . He mentions that there is a section that talks about things people say that are helpful, and things that are not helpful in talking with others going through grief. Tim asks Steve about remarriage after loss of a marriage partner, with Steve saying that the grieving process takes time, and quickly jumping into another marriage can create other problems. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 12/4/10
  • Guests: Jerry and Kathy Thornberg

    • Kathy and Jerry Thornberg are sitting in for Tim this week as guest hosts (broadcast Dec. 4, 2010) while Tim is in Israel handing out tracts in Arabic and Hebrew. Tim should be back in Las Vegas Monday morning. While there, he visited Jericho, handing out a tract entitled "Allah had no Son". Jerry and Kathy talk about sowing and reaping for those that feel led to help Tim spread the Gospel throughout the world.

Jerry and Kathy talk about "true grace", and the question of whether grace alleviates our responsibility to do good works. Kathy mentions that God's grace empowers us to walk with Him, and they talk about some of the myths about God's grace, and some of the things to watch for, like Churches that do not talk about repentance.

Jerry and Kathy are preaching at Spirit Life Church 3019 Highridge Blvd., Highridge Missourri, Sundays at 10:15am, and Wednesday at 7:30pm, and currently teaching on the signs of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. You may reach the Thornbergs at 636-226-5559. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 11/27/10
  • Guests: Drew Petitti, Dr. Terry Jones

    • Tim starts the show by mentioning that he will be going to Israel this weekend for about a week to spread the Gospel. Tim says he wants to write a letter to John Hagee about preaching the Gospel "to the Jew first, then to the gentile".

Drew Petitti is the first guest. He has been handing out tracts in Las Vegas at the downtown Fremont Street Experience. He began passing out tracts after hearing about tracts at a men's breakfast. He has been handing out tracts for about 4-5 years part time, and 3 years full time. Tim and Drew discuss various ways of handing out tracts, including restrooms and other unusual places. Drew attends Calvary Chapel Spring Valley in Las Vegas. Tim talks to Drew about dealing with panhandlers. Drew and Tim do a play-act of a street preacher talking to a person on the street about being saved.

Preacher Dr. Terry Jones, Dove World Outreach Center, known for his proposed (but not performed) burning of the quran, is the second guest. He held a press conference during the 9/11 memorial after canceling the burning. He has done several shows and radio programs since the controversial event.

Jerry and Kathy Thornberg, will be guest hosting next week while Tim is in Israel. They will critique the book written by Joe Ortiz on the rapture and soul sleep. Kathy begins by listing a number of doctrines which she says are contrary to sound Biblical teaching, and deals with a few doctrines in depth, like soul sleep and amillenialism. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 11/20/10
  • Guests: Rachel, Debbie, Summer, Debbie Young, Dr. Morey

    • Tim begins the show by saying that his show repeats are back on the air, so the show is now broadcast on Saturday at 5pm and 9pm pst, and Friday 8pm pst.

He will be heading to Israel on Sunday 11/28/10, and asks for your prayers and support as he witnesses to Muslims. Tim is recording this show while at the Walter Hoving home for troubled women, and has several women speaking as guests. The Walter Hoving home is a Christian women's rehabilitation center, with a website at walterhovinghome.com .

Rachel is the first guest tonight from the Hoving home. Rachel has been at the home for 9 months, is 21 years old, and had a history of drug problems and prostitution before coming to the Walter Hoving home. She came to the Lord while in jail, where she heard about the Walter Hoving home, and would like to go into criminal justice in the future.

Debbie is the next guest from the Hoving home. Debbie is 53 years old, and came to the home after problems with drugs, alcohol, and prostitution. Her mother passed away from cancer while she was in jail. She lived on the streets of Los Angeles for 8 years, and ended up in prison for 16 months. She has been at the home for 6 months, and would like to go to culinary school or counseling after she finishes at the Hoving home.

Summer is the third guest. She has been at the home for 9 months. Her parents had drug and alchohol problems. Summer moved to Pahrump at the age of 15, where she met a boy that began abusing her. She was in jail 6 times in 8 months, and the authorities wanted to send her to prison, until the prosecutor showed her the Walter Hoving home. Summer would like to become a child psychologist after leaving the home.

Debbie Young is the director of Walter Hoving home, and has been with the home for 7 years. She grew up in a Catholic home, and later in a Baptist home. She was molested by her father, and came to the Lord while in a detention center. The need for homes like Walter Hoving is severe in a place like Las Vegas, where there are a lot of troubled women. Debbie says that the success rate for women is 92%, with a 25% rate of recidivism. The program at Walter Hoving takes at least a year to change lives. Debbie describes a typical day at the home, and the Biblical foundations of the home.

Dr. Morey talks about the questions people have about Jesus' return, and His tarrying. He has two new books coming out soon. One of the books is about the Christian view of elder care. Tim asks Dr. Morey about how to deal with people that say Jesus was a false prophet, since He did not return in the generation to which he spoke the message. Dr. Morey explains that this view is due to a faulty interpretation of scripture. Dr. Morey emphasizes that the main focus for Christians should be Evangelism rather than prophecy. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 10/30/10
  • Guests: Joe Ortiz, Tom McMahon

    • Tim just returned from Southern California to visit friends. Tim and Mike will be heading off to Israel and Jericho on the 28th of November, and asks for your prayer and financial support.

Joe Ortiz is the first guest. Joe helped create the "Tim and Al Day", an honor for winning the best radio show DJ contest. Joe has put together a 500 page book called the "The End Time Passover", challenging the Pre-Trib Rapture. The book is focused on the millennial reign of Christ. Joe does not believe in a pre-trib rapture, and discusses some of the texts involved in reaching these views. He believes that true tribulation is coming for the Church, and that a large portion of the Church is not ready to believe that. He believes Christians will be on earth during the great tribulation, but will be protected. Joe appears to be teaching a "soul sleep" perspective of the afterlife. Tim brings up a few excellent scriptures for rejecting the soul sleep view (the Lazarus story, and of course the passage "willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."). Joe is not a pre-trib, mid-trib, pre-wrath-trib, or post-trib believer. Joe's website is at son-of-encouragement.blogspot.com .

Tom McMahon from Berean Call is the second guest. Tom takes an opposing view to that discussed by the previous guest (Joe Ortiz) on the pre-trib rapture, and says that it is well founded in Scripture. Tim and Tom also discuss the issue of soul sleep, which is believed by Seventh Day Adventists and other sects. Tom is one of the founders, the president, and executive director of The Berean Call, and has a website at www.thebereancall.org. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 10/16/10
  • Guests: Rev. Debra Peppers, Dr. Robert Morey

    • In Tim's opening comments he mentions that his trip with Pilot Mike to Mexico has been delayed. He is still hoping to go to Jericho in December to witness to Muslims.

Dr. Debra Peppers is the first guest. She is the author of "It's Your Turn Now" (Impact Press), and has a website at www.SaltandLightMinistry.com . She had an afternoon program on Christian radio KJSL for 10 years, and is in the national teachers hall of fame. Dr. Peppers has been to 60 foreign countries and all fifty states. She has attempted suicide 3 times, and came to the Lord after being a troubled teenager. Debra lost 100 pounds after coming to the Lord, and is now a TV host at WTJR out of Quincy IL. Tim and Deborah talk about witnessing and handing out tracts, and Tim mentions that the Christians that are the most depressed are the ones that are not doing anything. The conversation then turns to education, and Deborah says that she would ask Mr. Obama if he would consider sending his own two girls to one of the local schools. She says she considers the secular schools to be a mission field, and says that most Christian teachers do not know where their union dues go. Debra also mentions that it is OK for teachers to have Bible studies (but not lead the study), and OK for students to read the "Bible as literature", in addition to holding Bible studies on their own time.

Dr. Morey is the second guest has put out a tract that Tim hands out in jails. Tim talks about the Fred Phelps case coming to the Supreme Court, and asks how we as Christians should view Pastor Phelps (a pastor that preaches hate against homosexuals). Dr. Morey mentions that first of all, this is a free speech issue, regardless of how we view the speech. Dr. Morey mentions that Mr. Phelps and his family are all lawyers. Dr. Morey also mentions that he has to hold his nose in listening to hate speech, but it is his Constitutional right to preach in ways that may be offensive. Tim asks Dr. Morey about witnessing to Jewish people, and the Bible passage of Matthew 5:18 "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.". Dr. Morey points to the book of Hebrews for scriptures on Jesus fulfilling the law, and how this book is perfect for witnessing to those in Judaism. Dr. Morey mentions that he has ten new videos now listed on his website www.FaithDefenders.com . (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 10/9/10
  • Guests: Rev. Sam Childers, Dr. Morey

    • Tim opens the show by talking about his handing out Gospel tracts in Harlem during World Islamic Day. Tim also mentioned that he is now on Twitter, at www.Twitter.com/Jesusandtim

Rev. Sam Childers is a former hell's angel, now witnessing in the Sudan and focusing on the children at the Children's Village, the largest orphanage in Southern Sudan. Rev. Childers talks about the transition from the Hell's Angels to preaching the Gospel. He was raised in a Christian family, and took the wrong road at a young age. He said his upbringing was Christian, but it was his choice to start using drugs at 11, and hard drugs by 13. He came to the Lord during a Church revival altar call. The pastor doing the altar call prophesied that he was going to Africa and would be in a war. Years later he found himself in the war zone of the Sudan, which has been at war for 24 years. The majority of the people in South Sudan are Christian, and fighting for their freedom against the constant attacks from the Muslim parts of Sudan (which are evangelizing by the sword). Rev. Childers speaks about the rape and murder taking place in Sudan, and how he is responding in love to the victims and families, teaching the Children about God's love for them regardless of the horrible crimes. He is returning on Oct. 25, and is raising funds to support the ministry. To support his ministry, visit his website at www.AngelsOfEastAfrica.org, or call 1-800-757-0535. He also has a site at www.MachineGunPreacher.com and has a book out named "Another Man's War", published by Thompson Nelson.

Tim mentioned at a recent prayer breakfast that he has passed out 300,000 tracts in the last 3 years, but had not heard back from a single person that received a tract. During the prayer breakfast he heard back from a lady that received one of his tracts! Tim mentions that "His Word shall not return void", which keeps him going... a powerful message for all of us.

Dr. Morey of www.FaithDefenders.com is the second guest. He mentions to Tim that sometimes God doesn't want us to see all the results of our ministry efforts to avoid pride issues. He then draws parallels with handing out tracts and not hearing back. Tim asks Dr. Morey about President Obama eating pork, and whether he could be a Muslim and still eat pork (and violate other laws in the Quran). Dr. Morey mentions that "breaking the rules" is OK in Islam, if done in the name of Allah to promote the Islamic faith. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 10/2/10
  • Guests: Micah Easterling, Pat Necerato

    • Tim is reporting from New York City at the World Islamic Day (recorded a week prior). Tim had problems finding the street corner where the Muslims pray in the street, although he was able to hand out tracts.

Micah Easterling was at a halfway house that Tim opened up in Hollywood years ago. Mike gives his testimony, and talks about his coming to the Lord. He was raised in Church, and after getting involved in drugs and alcohol finally reached out to God. He talks about bringing others to salvation as part of his Church.

Pat Necerato has been preaching on the streets for the last few years. Tim and Pat discuss the "fear" involved, especially at first, in preaching the Word on the streets and putting up with hecklers. Pat talks about reaching out in love as a street preacher, but also talks about the importance of preaching about sin, repentence, and hell. Tim and Pat talk about Fred Phelps (anti-homosexual hate group), and how that hurts the spreading of the true Gospel. Frequently, when people hear "Street Preacher", they think about these hate groups, or angry street preaching. This image people have of angry street preachers complicates the speading of the Gospel. Pat's website is at www.GoStandSpeak.com (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 9/25/10
  • Guests: Pastor Terry Jones, Dr. Gregory R. Reid

    • Pastor Terry Jones of Dove World Outreach Center is the first guest. Tim opens by asking Pastor Jones how he handled the storm surrounding his proposed burning of the Quran. He did call off the burning of the Quran after considerable controversy. Tim discusses Franklin Graham's attempts to convince Pastor Jones to not burn the Quran. Terry said he was surprised at the reactions displayed by some people on both sides. His Church has received numerous threats since the incident, and mentioned that attendence has been down since the event. His website is www.Doveworld.org . Luke Jones (Pastor Jones' son) is also a guest, and is Youth Pastor at the Chuch. He talks about the attention received by him and his sisters during the Quran controversy.

Dr. Gregory R. Reid is the second guest, author of "Trojan Church: New Age Corruption of the Evangelical Faith". He was involved in the occult world earlier in life, and now has a ministry focused on spiritual warfare and the occult. Greg discusses several issues like Yoga, movies about the occult, and glorification of the demonic. He also talks about the dumbing down of the Gospel, with Cross-less luke-warm preaching gaining in popularity. Greg grew up reading Edgar Cayce, and the "beautiful side of evil" that entices the young. This prompted him to start reading the Bible on his own, and to his discovery of Christ.

Tim brings up the Purpose Driven Live problem within the Church, leading a lukewarm Gospel. Dr. Reid describes Rick Warren as a "soft Gospel" preacher. He says that the "Purpose" focus is on Church growth, but not on spreading the Gospel. His website is at www.GregoryReid.com (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 9/18/10
  • Guests: Joshua, Dr. Robert Morey

    • Tim will be going to the World Islamic Day in New York City on Sept 24-26, and asks for your prayer support. He will be handing out Christian tracts to those in the Islamic faith.

Tim's first guest is a man that goes by the name of "Joshua", with a ministry that is bringing the Gospel to Islamic countries. Joshua begins by talking about the support and encouragement he has received from relatives in this difficult mission. Joshua was a pastor for many years, and is now busy sharing the Gospel with Muslims. Dr. Morey gives a few words of encouragement to Joshua, and provides insights and history of witnessing to those in the Islamic faith. Joshua explains that his mission will be working alongside Arab Vision, a Christian broadcaster. His mission is to both evangelize and to encourage existing Churches in the Islamic world. If you would like to support Joshua, he can be contacted at Hebrews115@gmail.com. For further information on Arab Vision, please visit www.ArabVision.org.

In the second half of the show Dr. Morey talks about Pastor Jones and the previously proposed burning of the Quran at his Church. (This show was recorded a week in advance, and Pastor Jones called off the burning) He discusses the description of Islam as a "religion of peace", in light of the violent acts against the Church, including death threats, murders, and burning of Bibles and burning of entire Churches. Dr. Morey also talks about the contrasts and conflicts in obeying government regulations vs. obeying the teachings of Scripture, where of course the Word of God should prevail. Tim mentions Sura 9:5 "fight and slay the pagans wherever you find them...". Many other Suras are discussed regarding those that convert from Islam to Christianity, along with other Islamic teachings. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 9/11/10
  • Guests: Dr. Robert Morey

    • Dr. Morey is the guest for the entire hour this week. Tim starts the show by mentioning that the current ministry plans include a trip to Mexico in third week in September, Lord willing, and may possibly be put off until October. Tim also announced that he is accepting paypal donations on the website. Tim is also looking for a place to stay while in New York City for about 3 days during his next visit.

Dr. Morey talks about the Glenn Beck rally, and the linking together of different faiths for political purposes. This rally was not a religious service, but politics, so joining together with muslims, jehovah's witnesses, etc. for a political purpose is ok. Morey discusses the issue of Muslims obstructing traffic with unscheduled "demonstrations", like laying down prayer rugs in the middle of a street without a permit.

Dr. Morey also talks about the ad hominum attack on Beck instead of attacking his ideas. Tim talks a bit about the criticism he personally receives for criticizing Mr. Obama, and asks Dr. Morey about the role of Christians being critical of political figures. Dr. Morey compares burning the koran with the Biblical stories of burning idols. Tim and Dr. Morey talk about Obama, and discuss "his muslim faith" as described by Obama to George Stephanopoulos, and asks the question "How many times have you accidentally referred to your Muslim faith". They also talk about the Muslim law of abrogation - which states that it is ok to lie to promote the Islamic faith. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 9/4/10
  • Guests: Rev. Bob Armstrong

    • Bob Armstrong is the head of "Love Link Ministries", and has worked in over 40 countries, training over 49,000 pastors and teachers. He is the author of the book "Razor's Edge, From bin Laden's Home to Divine Appointments". His website is at Love Link Ministries

Bob begins with a prayer for those needing encouragement. Bob ended up in prison through a miscarriage of justice. He wanted to turn down a plea bargain on conspiracy chages, since he wasn't guilty, however he did plead guilty to one of the charges. He was sentenced to 18 months and served 12.5 months in a low security prison camp in South Carolina. During his time in prison he stood on the verse "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Rom 8:28, KJV) and other verses. Bob talks prison ministry, and how some prisoners sound righteous while in chapel, but the changed lives are best reflected in how they behave in the prison yard and in their cell. Bob and Tim talk at length about witnessing to Muslims, which comes up frequently in prison ministry. (Ed: MB)

Listen
  • Date: Sat, 8/21/10
  • Guests: Ron Rhodes, Flip Benham

    • Ron Rhodes is the first guest, from Reasoning from the Scriptures Ministry - www.RonRhodes.org. Ron and Tim begin the show talking about Iran and the domino effect. Iran has threatened that if attacked, it will shut down the strait of Hormuz, stopping the oil flow. Ron discusses how the basic problem is "world views in collision", and the problems with radically conflicting cultures and beliefs. Tim asks "Where should we stand in the issue of land rights for Israel?". Ron mentions that the Palistineans do not want "part of the land of Israel", they want all of the land, and that God's promises to Israel are still in effect. Ron discusses replacement theology, Israel, and the Church in Bible prophecy. Ron has a powerful ministry in witnessing to those in cults and other religions, and discusses witnessing techniques to Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons. Ron and Tim also talk about Freemasonry towards the end of the interview, and the faiths of the founding fathers of the nation. Ron talks a bit about his other books like "bible prophecy dictionary", "apologetics daily", and others.

Flip Benham from Operation Save America was scheduled (and interviewed) to discuss his take on the Mosque being built near the 911 Islamic terrorist attack site in New York. Flip has been on CNN with Anderson Cooper and other shows, but unfortunately Flip was in his car during the interview, and the audio is almost unusable. Tim's phone is having a few problems too. We will leave the interview with Flip online as part of the broadcast record (it sounded like a good interview!), and just note that it is extremely difficult listening... but His Word shall not return void, praise God! (Ed: MB)

Listen
